Audrey flatly refused. “Sorry, I just had a C–section and was discharged. The doctor says I can’t go out. Contact her husband. I’ll give you his number.”

The officer had no choice but to let her try calling. Unfortunately, Audrey’s phone was unreachable.
“I need to use your phone. She probably blocked my number,” Lucia demanded, then quickly dialed from the landline. Audrey’s phone rang once before cutting to a busy signal.

Logan arrived at the police station to find Lucia. Seeing her messy hair and the scratch marks on her face, he frowned and asked, “What happened?”

Logan didn’t even glance at her as he maneuvered his wheelchair toward the exit.
‘Answer what? You got what you deserved,’ Logan thought.
Lucia just couldn’t swallow her resentment.
She thought, ‘Whenever Audrey suffers even the slightest injustice, Yann rushes to her defense. But when my face gets scratched like this, Logan won’t even spare me a single word of comfort. Why?‘
Lucia, agitated, shouted, “Logan, I’m your wife!”

Lucia chased after them, only to come face–to–face with the two groups who had attacked her. Panicked, she immediately ducked back into the office.

Lucia shot Sylvie a venomous glare, then turned to Audrey and threatened. “I’m no Logan to divorce me. Let’s see how you handle the embarrassment.”
