Quentin said, “The youngest is the baby girl, so the smallest swaddle must be hers.”
“I was also… Wait…” Keith narrowed his eyes to Quentin. “You’d actually help me?”
Keith thought, ‘He’s definitely trying to mess with me. Everyone knew the girl should be the tiniest, but when I asked the nanny, I was told the baby has a hearty appetite and is growing rapidly every day!
“I’ll take number one.” Keith pointed decisively at the thickest swaddle.
“No takebacks.” Hardy was about to make his pick when Keith grabbed his hand. “Wait, let me think again.”
Hardy shook him off with visible disgust and turned to see Quentin’s selection.
Quentin held the number two plate in his hand, looking hesitant but also shooting a wary glance at Keith,
“I’ll take number two,” Keith said, snatching the plate from Quentin’s hand.
Quentin frowned and tried to grab it back, but Keith dodged away with a mischievous laugh.
“Your pick,” Quentin sighed, letting Hardy decide.
Hardy chose number three and kindly passed the number one tag to Quentin.
The two turned to look at Yann. He was leaning in to whisper to Audrey, but upon noticing their gaze, he straightened up and lifted his chin with a confident air.
Yann asked, “No changes?”
“No changes,” Hardy replied.

The nannies covered their mouths to suppress giggles, while Sylvie was doubled over with laughter. “What a surprise, huh?”
Gritting his teeth in frustration, Keith shoved the pillow at Sylvie. “Look, since none of theirs is the girl, by process of elimination, mine must be the girl.”
“You wish,” Yann sneered.
Amelia walked out of another room, cradling the baby girl in her arms. She teased, “Looks like our little sister is the star of the show, huh?”
Keith immediately tried to snatch the baby, but Yann firmly blocked his
way
“No returns or exchanges.”
“You’re being totally unfair,” Keith protested.

“They all have kids and get to be godfathers. I’m just a single guy. Why can’t I be one too?” he complained.
Keith shouted, “No way. I was the first to hold her, so that makes me her godfather.”
Quentin interjected, “Actually, the doctor was the first to hold her.”
With a smirk, he took out three boxes. “These are the gifts from the doctor. He said the biggest one is for the baby girl.”
Celeste glanced at Keith, thinking, ‘He might as well be my daughter’s godfather.‘
“Quentin, tell me the truth–did you already know I was picking a pillow?” Keith’s fury shifted.
“You can tell a baby’s gender just by looking at their bones, and figuring out what’s in a swaddle would be child’s play for you. You totally set me up on purpose.”
Quentin accused, “You’re the one who snatched my number tag.”
Keith shot back, “You did this on purpose. You cheated.”
Keith started throwing a tantrum, demanding a do–over. He was fuming–he’d been the first to hold the baby girl, but he couldn’t be her godfather in the
end.
Being a man of few words, Hardy hadn’t managed to pick the baby sister, but he was perfectly fine being godfather to any of them.
Quentin’s remark made Keith stomp his feet in fury, yelling in protest.
Meanwhile, Audrey collapsed into laughter, falling into Yann’s arms.
After much deliberation, all three ended up becoming the little girl’s godfathers. They gathered around her, showering her with attention and laughter. Each of them gave her a gold bracelet.
“Wait, so if you guys hadn’t picked the girl, would you have just kept your gifts to yourselves?” Keith exclaimed, looking at Hardy and Quentin.
Now that everyone had given gold bracelets, his own gift didn’t feel special anymore.
“Fair is fair. We’re all godfathers now, so we are all the same,” Quentin replied matter–of–factly, while Hardy slipped his gold bracelet onto the baby girl’s
wrist.
With three chunky gold bracelets stacked on her chubby little arm, the poor girl could barely lift it.
On the little girl’s side, it was bustling with noise and laughter.
Meanwhile, on the brother’s side, only Logan stood alone, his gaze shifting tenderly from one child to the other.
He thought to himself, “How adorable they are.”
As the guests began to leave, Yann went to see them off, taking the three godfathers with him. The babies needed to rest, and so did Audy

Audrey rubbed her belly, thinking, “It finally feels like everything inside me is back where it belongs.”
“Sit down and rest for a bit, Sylvie, get something for Audrey to eat,” Amelia called out to Sylvie.
Audrey hadn’t told Amelia about her dieting plans, worried she wouldn’t approve.
“I’m not hungry,” Audrey joked. “All that laughing filled me up.”
