Rachel’s POV
Commander Julian burst into the command tent, his face flushed with excitement. “My Queen! More small tribes have come to pledge their allegiance to you!” He bowed quickly, unable to contain his enthusiasm. “The residents in the border regions no longer fear us as invaders
I looked up from the map I’d been studying, a small smile tugging at my lips. This was good news–exactly what we needed.
Caelum, standing at my side with his distinctive white hair catching the morning light, grinned broadly. “Thanks to Alpha Nathan’s fearsome reputation, we’ve even had some nomadic werewolf groups join us. They know better than to oppose the former king of the wandering wolves!
I nodded, relief washing through me. If we could minimize disruption to civilian lives while still achieving our goal of occupying Emerald City, all the better.
We continued discussing plans to push Dylan’s frontline further south, the conversation flowing easily as we marked potential routes on the worn map.
After the meeting ended, I found myself alone with my thoughts. Nathan had been consumed with military matters lately, our paths crossing infrequently.
Yet I found myself thinking of him constantly. The image of him cradling Mateo to his chest, his large hand gently patting our son’s back as he drifted to sleep, had etched itself into my memory.
I still loved him. I couldn’t stop loving him…
Part of me longed to know if what he’d said in the temple was true–that he’d never loved me. The thought stung, but I couldn’t shake the hope that perhaps, someday, we might have a chance at being a family, raising our son together.
But with our limited interactions, rebuilding anything between us seemed impossible.
Pushing my personal concerns aside, I joined a patrol, leading a small group, along the perimeter of our territory.
As we were about to head back to camp, a pained groan caught my attention from a small path near the treeline.
“We should check it out,” I said, already moving toward the sound.
Caelum’s hand on my arm stopped me. “Careful,” he warned, red eyes narrowing. ‘It could be a trap.
I nodded, appreciating his caution. “You and the larger warriors shift, just in case.”

The sound of bones cracking and reshaping filled the air as several of my patrol transformed into thick fur as they positioned themselves protectively around me.
wolf forms, muscles rippling beneath
Approaching cautiously, I followed the pained sounds deeper into the trees. The scent of blood grew stronger, metallic and fresh.
Finally, I spotted a figure slumped beneath a large oak tree–a man with a horrific wound in his side, blood matting his bair.
“Who is he?” I asked softly, kneeling beside the unconscious man.
“That looks like Alpha Magnus’s son, Enzo,“/Caelum’s voice echoed in my mind through our pack link..
“Alpha Magnus?” I responded silently. “Isn’t he one of those nomadic wolf leaders?”
“Correct,” Caelum confirmed. “He’s one of those who joined us from the western part of our territory

Chapter 335
The name triggered a memory–Alpha Magnus reminded me of Nathan during his days as the king of wandering wolves. I wondered if Razo shared his temperament.
I decided immediately to help him. “Who has a medical kit?” I asked, and a female warrior who had remained in human form quickly produced one from her pack.
Together, we cleaned and bandaged Enzo’s wounds. I mixed some of my
blood into the medicine–a secret that only my closest circle knew
about–before carefully administering it to him.
Gradually, color returned to his pale face.
“There,” I said, sitting back on my heels.
As I worked, I couldn’t help noticing that Enzo was handsome in a boyish way, with chestnut curls and a face that would have seemed almost delicate if not for the strong jaw. He looked nothing like Nathan with his black hair and perpetually furrowed brows.
Suddenly, Enzo’s eyes fluttered open–startlingly blue–and locked onto mine. His expression transformed from confusion to awe.
“Are you alright?” I asked gently.
“My Luna!” he gasped, his voice tinged with reverence. “It’s you!”
Heat rose to my cheeks as I confirmed his identity. “Yes, it’s me. You’re… Enzo, right?”
“Yes, that is my name,” he breathed, staring at me with undisguised wonder. “You saved me!”
Before I could react, he grasped my hand and pressed his lips to it, causing me to freeze in surprise.
“My Luna! What an honor to finally meet you! Your kindness and great beauty are known throughout the territory,” he declared fervently. “I pledge my eternal loyalty to you, beautiful Rachel. You saved my life. From this moment on, my heart, my life, belongs to you.”
