Chapter 380
Nathan’s POV
The damp grass clung to my knees as I crouched in the shadows, my pulse hammering in my ears.
That faint shadow slipping into Thalia’s place at 3 a.m. had set my blood on fire.
Then, half an hour later, another figure, darker and leaner, followed suit.
By their builds, I pegged them as men–Kael and Apollo, no doubt.
I turned to Tyler, his face a mask of fury under the moonlight. “Go get your sister. Now.”
He nodded, his jaw tight, and bolted off, his footsteps fading into the night. I stayed put with Caelum, my mind racing.
If this went south, I’d have blood on my hands–again. But I couldn’t let Kael slip through.
It didn’t take long. Victoria, Rachel, Gina, and Tyler stormed back, their faces a mix of rage and confusion.
I rose, brushing dirt off my jeans, and eyed them. “What’re you all doing here?”
Rachel’s eyes blazed. “I wanna see that bastard die.”
Gina shrugged, a wicked grin on her face. “Rachel said there’s a show–I’m here for it.
I glanced at the soldiers I’d positioned nearby, then turned to Victoria. She blinked at me, sleep still fogging her eyes. “What’s going on? Who’s the bastard?”
“Hold tight–you’ll see, I muttered, leaning toward Rachel. “You tired?”
She shook her head, her jaw set. “Wide awake.”
Tyler growled under his breath, his fists clenching. “I’m pissed as hell. Can’t wait to storm in and beat some ass.”
I checked my watch–time was up. “Alright, let’s move. We’re grabbing them.”
Victoria frowned, rubbing her eyes. “Grabbing who?”
“Your husband, Tyler snapped, his voice dripping with venom.
Victoria froze, staring at him like he’d grown two heads.
Caelum cut in, firm but calm. “Enough talk. Let’s go.” We charged toward Thalia’s door and kicked it open with a crash.
The scene inside hit us like a punch. Victoria screamed, her voice shattering the air.
Apollo was bent over Thalia, his face buried hungrily between her thighs, devouring her like a man possessed by insatiable desire.
Thalia moaned shamelessly, one hand kneading her breast in ecstasy while the other clutched desperately at his hair.
When they finally noticed our unexpected presence, Thalia shrieked in mortification, frantically scrambling to cover her exposed body with whatever she could grasp.
Victoria’s face contorted with unbridled rage, hot tears welling up and threatening to spill down her flushed cheeks.

“Apollo, you absolute son of a bitch!” she screamed, her voice breaking with emotion. “Always working late, always too busy–now I finally understand why! You’ve been keeping a lover behind my back this whole time!”
Apollo jerked upright, his mouth still glistening obscenely with evidence of his betrayal, shock and guilt flashing across his face.
“Victoria, please, it’s not what you think–he stammered pathetically, reaching for words that couldn’t possibly explain away the scene before her. ‘I can explain everything,” he added desperately, but the evidence was damn clear for everyone in the room to see.
Tyler, Gina, and Rachel didn’t hesitate. They lunged, fists flying. Tyler landed a brutal punch on Apollo’s jaw, Gina slapped Thalia hard across the face, and Rachel kicked Thalia’s side, her fury unleashed.
I barely registered the chaos–my eyes locked on the back door, where a shadow darted toward a high window. Kael.
Instinct kicked in. I shed my clothes in a flash, my body shifting–bones cracking, fur sprouting, muscles rippling as I transformed into a wolf.
My paws hit the ground as I leapt after him. He was already out, landing as a lean gray wolf, his snarl cutting through the night.
I lunged, teeth sinking into his neck, tasting blood as he thrashed. More wolves–my pack–poured in, tearing at him, their growls a symphony of vengeance. I released him, shifting back, pulling on my spare jeans with shaky hands.
Kael lay sprawled across the floor, dark crimson blood pooling beneath his broken body as he painfully shifted back to human form.
He coughed violently, crimson flecking his pale lips, his voice weak but still carrying that insufferable defiance. “How the hell did you figure it out, detective? I thought… I thought my plan was absolutely flawless.”
I wiped the back of my hand across my mouth, tasting copper as I glared down at the dying man with undisguised contempt. “Thalia,” I answered coldly.
He let out a bitter, hollow laugh that dissolved into a wet, gurgling cough, spitting a mouthful of blood onto the floor beside him. “Fucking figures,” he wheezed. “Women always fuck everything up in the end, don’t they?”
“Why’d you kill Madison?” I pressed, crouching closer, my voice dropping to a dangerous whisper.
He shrugged with infuriating casualness despite his ragged, labored breathing, a cruel smile playing across his bloodstained lips. “No particular reason, really. The bitch didn’t deserve to raise my kid–not after ratting me out to your woman like that. Nobody betrays me and lives to talk about it.”
So heartless. But I can’t say I feel sorry for Madison either. She got what was coming to her in the end.
I hauled him inside, the room a wreck. Apollo was stripped naked, his body a patchwork of bruises and cuts, sprawled on the floor.
Rachel spat, “Scumbag–die!”
Gina slapped him again, the crack echoing. Tyler delivered a flying kick, sending Apollo sprawling, then stomped down, crushing his groin with a sickening crunch. Apollo’s scream pierced the air, raw and broken.
Victoria’s eyes were red, tears streaming. “You bastard! I loved you–what did I do to deserve this?”
Apollo slumped, too weak to reply. Tyler turned, landing a savage kick to Thalia’s stomach. She groaned, curling up. “I won’t do it again–never again!”
Kael chuckled, the sound grating. I shot him a hard look, and he shut up fast.
Thalia, desperation in her eyes, muttered, “If we’ve lost… I’ll end it.”
Before we could react, she lunged at the wall, smashing her head against it. Blood sprayed, and she crumpled, lifeless. Victoria screamed again, her sobs filling the room.

I turned to Kael, my patience gone, “Who else you got? Speak, or you’re dead.”
He smirked, resigned. “Say it or not, doesn’t matter. Enzo. Let’s kill us all. I’m done caring
I nodded, cold. “You’re right,
His eyes widened. “You’re really gonna kill me?”
Rachel stepped forward, her voice icy. “What else?”
Later, we dealt with Enzo, Apollo, and Kael. No executions–death was too easy.
We locked them in a custom–built cell, pitch–black and inescapable, accessible only to me, Rachel, and Tyler.
Living like that, trapped in their own heads, was the real punishment.
As I walked away, the clank of the door sealing shut behind me, a grim satisfaction settled in. Justice, served slow and bitter.
