“Ms. Hudson is a consultant invited by Mr. Soto,” Dawn said expressionlessly, “Please mind your words, Bradley.”
Bradley finally snapped. He slammed the table, jabbed a finger at Dawn, and shouted, “What’s the meaning of this? You think you can run wild just because Urban’s got your back?”
Bradley’s persistent agitation made several people frown in displeasure. Finally, a board member had enough and interjected, “Bradley, since these two young ladies had the courage to come in, I doubt they’re just making baseless claims. Let’s hear them out first!”
The speaker was a poised elderly board member, someone Urban was especially close to. Bradley wanted to argue, but given her seniority, he had to swallow his pride and reluctantly backed down, taking his seat, even if he disagreed with her in private.
Dawn strode to the computer at the podium and unplugged the USB drive.
The young man who had been standing silently by the side moved as if to intervene, but lost his nerve at the last second. Helpless, he cast a pleading look at Bradley.
But it was clear Bradley was helpless. Seeing that he wasn’t even looking his way, the man’s legs gave out, and he barely managed to steady himself by grabbing the table beside him.
He thought, ‘I’m done for… If this gets exposed in front of everyone, my life is over.‘
Hearing their conversation, even the dense young man started to catch on. He thought nervously, ‘This is obviously a problem among the company’s top brass. With a big corporation like this, if I get dragged in, there’s no telling how many legal battles I might end up facing.‘

rich people couldn’t care less about what would happen to someone like him.
Dawn connected her phone to the computer and pulled up her investigation findings. She said, “This so–called Peak Technology is a shell company. Its current legal representative is Luke Ramsey. We’ve
looked into him as well. He went abroad two years ago and hasn’t returned since.”
Bradley shot the young man a meaningful look. The young man’s heart instantly sank. He knew he was cornered, with no way out. I have no choice but to help him cover up this lie,‘ he thought desperately.
The young man spoke up as rehearsed. “Our company is affiliated with Nature Tech. It’s definitely not a shell company.”

Just then, the conference room door swung open. A tall, striking woman strode in, her piercing gaze sweeping over everyone before locking onto the man at the podium. “Weren’t you the one
demanding evidence?” she said coolly, “Well, I’ve got it right here.”
Bradley’s eyelid twitched in surprise. “Who the hell are you?” he demanded instinctively.
