Chapter 5
Sienna watched in disbelief as they carried her baby away. She tried to push herself up, but her legs gave out and she fell to the floor. Her fresh stitches tore, and blood seeped through her hospital gown.
Everyone had already followed Andre out with the baby.
I was the only one left in the hospital room.
Sienna broke into a raw scream. “Why didn’t you stop them? Didn’t you hear what they were saying? You’re heartless!”
“What do you expect me to do? You think I can take on a room full of royals and doctors by myself?”
Sienna didn’t care. She only needed someone to blame. “They took my baby! Why are you still standing here? Go find Andre! Get my baby back!”
Two nurses hurried in before I could answer.
Sienna’s eyes lit up at once, then she shot me a vicious glare. “See? Andre was only joking. He would never do anything to me or our baby! You just wait till I’m back on my feet!”
The next second, the nurses pulled out a syringe and inserted the needle into her arm.
Sienna’s face went rigid. “I’m a princess! What do you think you’re doing? I’ll have Andre feed you to the lions!”
She didn’t get far. They were already drawing her blood.
One of the nurses glanced at the other. “Is this enough?”
ཞུ་ཅ་ཟོ:
“Princess Lunasha’s condition has worsened. We were careful before because of the pregnancy. Now that the baby’s born, take a
little more blood. Prince Andre won’t tolerate excuses.”
Sienna jolted as if she had been doused with ice water. “Who’s Princess Lunasha? I’m the princess! Are you blind or just stupid?”
No one answered her questions. When they were done, they tossed her back on the bed like a rag doll.
Now, she was truly scared. Only then did she believe that Andre and the doctor meant every word.
The scene replayed in her head. Andre had cradled the baby, his eyes glittering with a feverish light. “Doctor, bone marrow from a sibling is a better match, isn’t it?”
“Drawing marrow from an infant is dangerous,” the doctor had warned. “It could be life-threatening.”
Andre barely listened, however. “I don’t care! He’s just an illegitimate child! Saving my son comes first!”
What? His son?
The contrast stunned her.
It wasn’t just that Andre had a son. The nurses had also mentioned a Princess Lunasha.
Sienna turned to me, desperate. “Aria, please! Find out where they took my baby! Help me talk to Andre! He loves me! He won’t abandon me! Get a doctor and tell them to help me!”
Then, as if a switch had been flipped, she went feral. “Was it you? Ever since you showed up, Andre’s changed. You did this, you witch!”
I actually laughed. She was the one who asked me to come, but now, she was turning on me. For what it was worth, her tantrum worked.
Ten minutes later, a medical team came in to change her bandages and give her a sedative to quiet her down.

Since I was her friend, they asked me to stay and look after her. But I had no intention of babysitting a nightmare. I set a pinhole
camera on the table and slipped out of the hospital.
Late that night, the camera footage showed Sienna waking up, and the first thing she did was scream for her baby.
