Chapter 25 The Serpent’s Shadow
I wouldn’t let Hailey leave. I ravaged her violently.
After thrusting into her dozens of times, my hardened shaft pulsed inside her and released a liquid that could very well get her pregnant.
Hailey let out a desperate, hopeless cry.
There were no birth control pills on this island. No abortion methods. The semen I pumped into her would make her pregnant, and she’d give birth to my child…
That’s right–I would make her carry my child!
I would have them all bear my bloodline. I would make them bow to me.
I pinned Hailey down by the neck and poured everything into her. Every last drop shot deep inside her body.
Only this way could I prove that she was completely mine–completely conquered.
Hailey lay obediently on the ground, weeping, powerless to stop me from flooding her insides with my seed.
That sense of dominance and conquest gave me immense satisfaction.
At the same time, I realized something: if I wanted, every one of these proud and untouchable beauties could be made to yield to me.
Even that mysterious woman Faye wouldn’t be an exception.
But soon after, something happened that made me realize–possession comes with responsibility.
When Hailey and I finished, the other women came back.
They looked panicked.
Alice told me they had seen a large snake in a tree near the camp.

A snake?
I asked Alice to take me there and show me.
At first, I assumed it was just a regular snake.
But to my surprise, it was thicker than my arm.
The snake was sprawled lazily on a tree branch, basking in the sunlight, flicking its tongue out slowly.
The only fortunate thing was that it appeared to be non–venomous.
But that was all. Just non–venomous.
With its size and strength, it could easily crush and kill any prey under seventy kilos, snapping bones one by one.
No wonder there weren’t any other animals around.
This snake’s presence was enough to wipe out every small creature nearby.
Whether frogs or birds, they had all become its prey.
The snake lounged on the branch, seemingly uninterested in us humans.
But its presence was a serious threat.
With its size, it couldn’t swallow a human whole.
But if it attacked, it could easily kill any one of the women–slowly, methodically, crushing bones until death by suffocation.
We returned to camp with heavy hearts, discussing how to deal with the snake.
Alice suggested we dig a trap. “Snakes aren’t good climbers. If we dig a deep enough pit, it’ll fall in and get stuck. Then we can drop a big rock on it and kill it.”
I shook my head and rejected her idea.
We didn’t have the right tools. With just one axe, digging a deep pit would be nearly impossible.

And we were only five hundred meters from the beach–if we really did dig a deep hole, seawater would seep in through the soil and turn it into a pool.
Ginnie smiled and said, “Mr. Leon, you’re so strong. Why not fight it head–on? If you kill it yourself, we’d even have snake meat to eat.”
Her suggestion felt like a setup.
Sure, with my short axe and knife, I could probably kill the snake.
But I couldn’t afford to get hurt.
If it bit me, or broke one of my bones, I’d be as good as dead.
There were no medicines on this island. The weather was hot and humid.
Even a small cut from its teeth could fester, and without treatment, I’d eventually have to amputate.
Ginnie then proposed sending Elsa out as bait.
When the snake wrapped around her, I’d rush over and chop it down with my axe.
That suggestion was also shot down by everyone.
A snake that had survived this long on a deserted island and grown this big had to be an experienced hunter–one that could probably take on multiple prey at once.
We discussed the problem all the way until evening.
Finally, Lily raised a critical question. “Why did the snake show up near the cave? It’s the fish. We’ve been butchering fish by the pile. The smell of blood and meat drew the snake to our camp.“/
She continued, “Based on my guess, that snake definitely eats fish. So we can lace the fish meat with those poisonous mushrooms. Last time I was poisoned, I felt my heart race and my blood heat up… If we mix the mushrooms into the fish, the snake will swallow it whole and die from the poison.”
Faye asked softly, “Will the mushrooms really work on a snake?”
Lily was confident. “Theoretically, anything with a heart should be affected! If we

increase the dose, I’m sure we can kill that big snake!”
The next day, we put our plan into motion…
