Chapter 29 The Secret in the Shadows
Louis gave a bitter smile in response to my question. “Sir, I’m just a miserable man. After the cruise shipwreck, I drifted to a nearby island. I wasn’t as lucky as you. The island was small and barren. After I ran out of food and water, I had no choice but to take this inflatable raft and try my luck.”
He pointed at the distant volcano. “The heat from the volcano causes waves that spread outward. That’s how the raft got pushed to my island by the current. So I figured, if I row in the opposite direction of the current, I’ll eventually find your island.”
Hailey asked, puzzled, “Since you made it here, why were you hiding from us?”
Louis glanced at me, then said gloomily, “You’re all women. He’s the only man. I figured if I suddenly showed up, he might kill me.”
Honestly, his concern wasn’t unreasonable.
If I were some vicious, greedy, bloodthirsty criminal, I’d definitely kill Louis without hesitation to keep control over the women.
I checked Louis’s body again and, after confirming he wasn’t carrying any weapons, finally untied him.
We brought Louis back to the survivor camp. Hailey gave him some water and food.
Even after meeting Louis, Faye seemed to share my suspicions.
From his mental state, he didn’t seem like someone who had gone hungry.
Lily quietly told us that not only did Louis not seem starving–he might’ve actually been eating pretty well.
His physical condition didn’t quite match up with his story of surviving on a desolate, food–scarce island.
After a private discussion, we decided to observe a little longer before making any decisions.

harm.
On the other hand, I could kill him easily with a knife or an axe if it came to that.
When night fell, Louis volunteered to take the night watch.
I agreed and had Alice accompany him.
Around eight in the evening, we all started lying down one after another. Some were already asleep.
I looked like I was asleep too.
At about 9:30 p.m., Louis told Alice he needed to go to the bathroom and walked off.
I opened my eyes and went over to Alice.
She pointed into the distance. In the moonlight, we could still see Louis’s silhouette.
We quietly followed him barefoot.
Louis was walking fast, like he was in a hurry to get somewhere.
We, on the other hand, didn’t dare move too quickly.
After about a mile, we saw Louis talking to someone.
“Shut up, you bitch,” he snapped. “I brought you food.”
In the moonlight, we saw Elsa. Her hands were tied behind her back, and there was a rope around her neck.
That rope was tied to a tree, keeping her from moving freely.
Louis pulled a piece of fish from his pocket and tossed it on the grass.
Elsa dropped to the ground, her hands still bound, and devoured the fish hungrily.
Then Louis pulled down his pants.

He muttered angrily to himself, “A whole group of hot women in the survivor camp, and I’m stuck with this filthy whore… But whatever. I heard you used to be Leon’s wife. That’s good enough.”
In the moonlight, Alice and I watched as Louis pressed his genitals against Elsa from behind.
Elsa continued chewing on the fish, seemingly indifferent to what he was doing.
Suddenly, she let out a cry of pain.
Louis sounded almost thrilled. “Leon never did you up the ass, huh? Heh… Let me give it a try.”
Elsa screamed in agony, the fish falling from her mouth.
Louis grabbed her hips and forced himself into her anus.
Alice clung to my arm, trembling in fear.
In the moonlight, we could see his dark organ repeatedly thrusting into Elsa’s
body.
After several seconds, blood started coating his genitals.
The blood acted as a kind of lubricant, making his assault easier.
Finally, he forced himself fully inside her and began pumping furiously.
Elsa lay on the ground, making meaningless noises as she screamed.
Alice frowned and whispered into my ear, “They really don’t care about how filthy it is, huh?”
I gave a faint nod, took Alice’s hand, and slowly led her away.
So this was Louis’s secret+Elsa.
From what we saw, Loujs must’ve found Elsa after arriving on Shadow Island, when she was physically weak.
It had probably been a long time since he’d had sex, so he didn’t hesitate to assault

her.
Later, when I caught Louis, he must’ve realized Elsa was my ex–wife and didn’t dare mention her in front of us.
It wasn’t until late at night that he returned to her, bringing a bit of food.
On our way back to the camp, Alice asked me a question.
“Mr. Leon, would you say Louis is a good guy or a bad guy?“,
