Fallen 51

Fallen 51 Summary

Meadow chooses to wear a champagne-gold sequin dress to the gala, deliberately avoiding the dresses tied to intimate moments with Alaric. She reflects on the recent days when Alaric didn’t return home as expected, which left her feeling almost invisible and lost in her own world. During this time, she registers for online classes and searches for her missing sister, only to find out her sister isn’t at the facility she visited.

On the evening of the party, Meadow is surprised by the arrival of Mel’s daughter, Camilla, a confident and openly gay teenager who immediately takes a liking to Meadow. Camilla offers to do Meadow’s makeup and hair for the event, and their interaction brings a refreshing sense of warmth and friendship to Meadow’s life. Mel’s kindness and the acceptance Meadow experiences contrast sharply with her own difficult family background.

As Camilla works on her makeup, she reveals that she and her mother know about Meadow’s secret contract marriage to Alaric, which deepens Meadow’s curiosity about the loyalty Mel and Camilla show towards Alaric. Camilla hints at a mysterious debt they owe him, but doesn’t elaborate, leaving Meadow intrigued but cautious. The conversation shifts to personal struggles, with Camilla sharing about a recent painful breakup, and Meadow admitting her own heartbreak from a failed relationship with Alaric.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Alaric, Meadow appreciates the support and kindness from Camilla and Mel. As the makeover finishes, Meadow feels beautiful and somewhat empowered, ready to face the gala. However, just as Camilla comments on Alaric’s mother and the party, she notices Alaric himself entering the room, signaling the start of a tense and important evening.

CHAPTER 0051

Meadow’s POV

I chose the third dress

Not the silk that I wore when Alaric fingered me. Not the velvet dress I wore when I rode his thigh to my orgasm. But the champagnegold sequin dress that we didn’t do anything in

It was a deliberate act of defiance I was pulling. But I had no other choice

The night he had to leave for workwhich I was almost fully certain that it wasn’the didn’t get back

until way later

I knew that because I stayed awake for hours until I just wasn’t able to and fell asleep. And then for the

next two days, I was practically nonexistent

It wasn’t so bad, though. I’d finally decided to register for online classes and had basically just been

trying to prepare myself and my mind for when I’d start next month

And asides that, I’d also been researching facilities that my sister could’ve possibly been in

And for a moment, I thought I found one

I’d ordered an uber and found my way to the location, but the moment I got there, I knew that wasn’t it

And when I went inside, I confirmed it

She wasn’t there

And I didn’t want to think of what Alaric would do if he realized what I’d done, because even Mel wasn’t

around when I left

Now, it was the evening of the gala or party or whatever his mother was throwing, and I stood in front of the mirror in the sequin dress. It was oneshouldered with an asymmetric neckline, and flowed all the way down in a fishtail hem

It was gorgeousto simply put it

And perfect for defiance

Oh, wow,I heard a voice say in wonder

I spun on my heels to see a teenage girl standing at the door. She was tallway taller than I was, and had a slim build with thick, curly hair

My brows drew together in confusion. I had never seen her before. Uhhi?”

I asked you to wait, Cami,Mel’s voice filtered toward us. Ay, Dios mio..she trailed off as she saw me

standing in the middle of my room

Oh, wow, Mrs. Meadow, she corrected when I quirked a brow at her. She was still trying to get used to calling me by my actual name. Though, I doubted that she was actually trying. You look absolutely-

Hotthe teenage girl said. She couldn’t be more than eighteen. Yeah, definitely my type.”

I coughed out a laugh

Camilla!Mel scolded, steeping into the room as she glared at her. And then she turned to me. You’ll have to excuse my daughter, Meadow. She’s a bitopenminded.”

And gay,Camilla cut in, shrugging when Mel scowled at her. Which is exactly why I said you’re my type.”

My cheeks hurt from how hard I was smiling. It was so refreshing to see a face like Camilla’s and to have someone like her around

Well, nice to meet you, Camilla,I said politely. I think you and I will make great friends.”

Well, she tilted her head slightly, biting down on her bottom lip to hide her smile. If we’re going to be friends, then you can call me Cami.”

Mel chuckled. Cami’s a makeup artist and hair stylist,” she said sheepishly. So I thought, since you’re going out tonight, you might need someone like her around.”

Something tugged at my chest and I placed my palm on it, making my way to Mel. Oh my gosh, thank you so much, MelI pulled her into a hug that she wasn’t expecting. You’re a life saver.”

I wasn’t planning on doing any makeup since I wasn’t really an expert and Nova had to be somewhere. else, but Mel being as thoughtful as this made my heart fill with warmth

She cleared her throat awkwardly, her hands still at her sidesever the prim and proper woman. Behind her, Cami rolled her eyes, amused

Well, you’re a part of this family now,she said as I pulled away. And I take care of this family.”

Now it was my turn to clear my throat awkwardly

Being treated this way wasn’t something I was used to, especially with the kind of family I came from that valued only their own lives and wellbeing and no one else’s

I’ll let you get to it, then,Mel said, giving me one last smile and then a warning look at Cami before she walked out of the room

Cami drifted over to my vanity, dropping a bag that I suspected contained her products, and then she asked me to sit

Soshe started. Alaric’s wife, huh?”

Yeah,I replied airily

Something glinted in her eyes and she turned to pull out a few products from her bag Forgive me for being nosy, but is there a reason why you sleep in a different room from him?”

I froze. I hadn’t wondered about what she would think. Then again, Mel wouldn’t-

Camilla burst out laughing, interrupting my thoughts. T’m kidding, MeadowShe winked at me. My mum and I already know about youragreement. Just us, though,”

This only made me more curious about Alaric’s relationship with Mel and her loyalty to him. Mel said she’d worked for his family for years, but that was all she told me

And for her to still work at the house when Alaric didn’t even want his own family to know that our marriage was contracted

This ran deeper than just loyalty

But it didn’t make me feel uneasy. If anything, it made me feel relieved that I didn’t have to lie to Camilla

Oh,I breathed. That’s”

Yeah. But you don’t need to worry about anything. Your secret’s safe with us. Alaric, he’s her expression grew a bit solemn as she picked up a makeup brush. He’s helped us in more ways than I can imagine. So if you think about it, we’re actually indebted to him.”

What did he do? I wanted to ask, but I didn’t

I had a feeling my question wouldn’t be answered anyway. That this was way personal. But it did nothing. to water down my curiosity

What had Alaric done for them to make Cami feel like they were indebted to him

I remained quiet while Camilla did my makeup, occasionally cracking a few jokes here and there

And then she moved to my hair

God, you have no idea how much I needed this distraction, she murmured

I stared at her through the mirror. What would you need to be distracted from? School?”

Her brown eyes glinted, but her smile was dim as she looked away. No, not school. I’m done with highschool and decided to take a gap year before college, but that’s not it. I’ve just been going through a rough patch lately. Terrible break up.”

Her eyes met mine again

Oh 1 frowned. I’m sorry about that.Something thick lodged in my throat as I debated saying more.Do you want to talk about it?”

Cami winced. Not really.”

I let out a soft laugh that tasted like bile on my tongue. I can relate, you know? Went through a terrible breakup a little over two weeks ago and I’m still trying to understand how I didn’t see the signs that something was wrong.”

Well, whoever that scumbag was, it’s his loss. And Alaric’s gain if you think about it. I don’t know anything about your relationship but I can vouch for him,she muttered as she finished the look with some hairspray

He’s a great guy.”

Maybe. But I didn’t know him yet. I’ll be the judge of that,I whispered, rising to my feet. I stared at my dark long hair which was now falling in soft waves down my back. The makeup was flawless. I looked.. beautiful

Wow,I whistled. You know your stuff. Thank you, Cami

She rolled her eyes fondly. With the way you look right now, there’s no way his mother won’t fall in love at first glance.”

I paused, turning to face her. You know her?For some reason, my heartbeat sped up. Maybe because I was fucking nervous and trying to take my mind off it

Course I do,Camilla quirked. I also know she throws a mean party. And sheshe trailed off as her eyes focused on something behind me

Or someone

Uh.. your husband is here, she whispered

Fallen Summary & Review: Fallen

Meadow Russell arrives at an upscale hotel, heart fluttering with excitement and nerves. She’s about to marry the love of her life, Tyler, in a small, private ceremony — just the two of them. Clutching her bag, she approaches the front desk with a smile. “Hi, I have a reservation. Meadow Russell.”

But from the very first second, something feels off.

The receptionist’s red-painted lips curl into a mocking sneer, and her colleague exchanges a strange look with her. Meadow’s cheerful tone falters as confusion settles in. The woman scoffs, “You’re kidding, right?” The disbelief in her tone makes Meadow’s stomach twist. She frowns, insisting there must be a mistake, but both receptionists continue to look at her with something close to pity — and something else she can’t quite name.

Then comes the shocker.

According to the hotel records, she’s already checked in. Two hours ago. With a man. The receptionist even claims to have spoken with her — complimenting her “cute top.” The same white crop top with the word “BRIDE” written across it that she’s wearing now.

Meadow tries to rationalize it. Maybe Tyler had checked in under her name. Maybe it’s a simple mix-up. She laughs nervously and explains that her fiancé must have done it for convenience. But both receptionists seem unconvinced. One of them finally sighs and hands her a spare keycard, muttering, “I hope you get things sorted out.”

On her way up to the room, Meadow’s heart pounds in her chest. Something feels horribly wrong, but she refuses to believe it. Tyler would never do anything to hurt her. They’ve been planning this wedding for months — their dream elopement. She tries to calm herself, breathing in and out as the elevator ascends, but her hands won’t stop shaking.

When she finally reaches the room and swipes the keycard, her worst fears materialize before her eyes.

The moment the door opens, the sound hits her first — muffled moans, heavy breathing, the rhythmic creak of the bed. Then she sees them.

Her twin sister, Juniper, straddling Tyler, his hands gripping her hips as he thrusts into her without restraint.

The world stops. The bag slips from Meadow’s trembling hands and lands with a soft thud. The scene before her feels like a cruel joke — something ripped out of a nightmare. Her vision blurs with tears, her body frozen in disbelief.

For a full minute, she just stands there. Watching. Waiting. Hoping someone would scream “gotcha” and end this cruel trick.

But there’s no misunderstanding to clear up. No mistake. No illusion.

Her twin sister moans again, whispering, “Yes, that’s it, baby,” as if to drive the knife deeper into Meadow’s heart.

Something inside her shatters.

“Juniper…? Tyler?” she finally manages to whisper, her voice barely recognizable.

They both turn, startled. Tyler’s face twists in shock, then panic. He pushes Juniper off him, stammering, “Meadow, I swear, I thought she was you!”

It’s a pathetic excuse. One that doesn’t even make sense.

Juniper doesn’t even bother covering herself. She just smirks, tossing her messy hair over her shoulder like a queen enjoying the chaos she’s created. “Oh, please,” she scoffs. “It’s time we drop the act. This has been going on for a while.”

Meadow stumbles back, staring between them. “What are you talking about?”

Her twin rolls her eyes. “You really didn’t think he loved you, did you?”

It hits Meadow all at once — the hotel mix-up, the receptionist’s strange looks, the duplicate “Meadow Russell” check-in. Juniper had stolen her identity, her name, her wedding — and the man she loved.

Tyler tries to approach her again, naked and unashamed. He grabs her jaw gently, his expression hard. “You thought I loved you, Meadow? No. Juni’s the love of my life.”

The words pierce like knives.

Every memory — every kiss, every late-night conversation, every promise he made — turns to ash. She had believed in him completely, trusted him with her heart. And all along, he’d been sharing that same intimacy with her twin sister.

Meadow stares at Juniper, still unable to process it. The last time she saw her twin was two years ago. They’d grown apart after Juniper’s endless trail of lies and manipulation had driven a wedge between them. Juniper had always been the beautiful, daring, chaotic one — the one who got what she wanted, no matter who she hurt. But never, not in her darkest thoughts, had Meadow imagined she would do this.

Juniper laughs again, the sound sharp and cruel. “She’s in shock, baby. Maybe we should help her out of her misery,” she says mockingly, then pulls Tyler into another kiss right in front of her.

That’s when Meadow realizes this isn’t a mistake. This isn’t a sudden betrayal. It’s a plan.

Her sister had known exactly what she was doing. She had tracked Meadow down, learned about the wedding, and swooped in like a vulture to destroy what little happiness she had built. The matching outfit, the fake check-in — all of it was deliberate.

The pain turns into rage. Her tears blur her sight, her breath coming out in shaky bursts. Every muscle in her body screams at her to turn around, to run far away from the two people who’ve just ripped her soul apart.

But she doesn’t move.

She stands there, trembling, her heart breaking piece by piece as she watches her sister smirk and her fiancé — her almost-husband — stand there unashamed, not even offering a shred of remorse.

Tyler and Juniper exchange a look, and she realizes — they’re enjoying this. They want her to see. To suffer.

Meadow’s hands ball into fists. She feels like she’s watching her life crumble in real time, and there’s nothing she can do but breathe through the ache and pray she doesn’t collapse.

Every part of her screams that this is the moment she loses everything — her trust, her love, her family.

And yet, deep inside, a spark ignites — not of despair, but of something darker. A promise that this won’t be the end of her story.

Because betrayal that deep doesn’t fade. It carves itself into your bones. And Meadow Russell — heartbroken, humiliated, and hollow — walks out of that hotel room knowing one thing for certain.

She will never forgive them.

And one day, they will both pay for what they’ve done.
