She cocks her head slightly as she stares at me, and I walk past her to my seat, throwing my book into my bag

She says something which I don’t bother to listen to before she walks to her seat

Eyes pin into me from my back but I don’t look as I shove all the books into my school bag, and take my sit right before the teacher walks into the class

The afternoon speeds faster than morning and I am grateful, that I can go home, finally

If you don’t mind, you can come to the pack house for training every Saturday.” Sapphire says as we both walk out of class

Training?”

Yes.She replies, You don’t have to feel weak when you can just train.”

I don’t have my wolf yet. I still have few months till I clock 18.I reply flatly. I don’t see any reason why I should leave my house on Saturday, it is already tiring coming to this school Monday to Friday

Me too.Sapphire grins, My birthday is by September. When is yours?”

August.”

Her lips flatten, You are older than me with a month. She mutters and then shrugs, It doesn’t matter. Still train for the stamina so you’ll be stronger when you get your wolf.”

She leans into me, At least, one day, you’ll be able to beat Amber and the dark girls.”

The dark girls?”

Those girls wio pushed you down at the cafeteria the other day. One of them was laughing in the cafeteria this morning.”

I sigh, Doesn’t matter. I’m not fighting anyone.”

If my mom has any reason to come to school on account of anything inappropriate, she is going to chew my ears out. I can’t give her that. It is going to be uncomfortable at home, since we are the only ones

At least-”

I don’t know the way to the pack house.I cut Sapphire off and she flattens her lips in resignation, understanding that I really don’t want to be there

If it’s the pack house, it means others would train there. And that’s includes almost all members of the school. I’m fine being alone

I know the way.Someone butts into our conversation and the toilet girl comes into view, with a guy that looks exactly like her

I’d seen him at the back seat when I spoke to Amber in the classroom. My eyes locks on him

This is my twin brother…..Vale.” she says with a grin

They look alike, but with different characteristics. He has black and white hair, which contrasts loudly with Zara’s red hair. But their eyes were the same red colour. He looks calm, a difference was clear in his composition and Zara’s

I stare at both of them blankly, before I pull Sapphire away

What if she just wants to talk?Sapphire asks as we walk off

She looks like trouble.”

I’m not associated with trouble

But just then, I see Lucan

He leans his back on a wall, his school bag slinging on one hand, while his leg leisurely kicks something on the ground. His friends are beside him, but I don’t see the guy who initiated that at the cafeteria

I swallow hardly, my chest tightening

Sapphire looks at me, We can follow the other-”

Hottie!Zara forces herself between me and Sapphire, drawing the guys attention to us. She takes the stairs two at a time and stops when she gets to Lucan’s side

But he isn’t staring at her. He lifts himself from the wall and walks towards me, stopping just a stair from where I am

Anger broods in my chest and I tighten my fingers round the straps of my bag to keep my cool

He grins. Without smiling. Are you ready to go home?”

What are you doing? My voice is quiet, low, and flat

Picking you up.He says and stretches his hand, Give me your school bag.”

Students are already forming a small circle as they stare at us. And yet, Lucan didn’t pull away his hand

I grit my teeth. Lucan-”

His grin disappears, replaced with a placid, bored look. Your bag.”

He isn’t going to leave me alone till I give him that. My expression is sour as I pull off the bag and throw it into his arms, before walking down the stairs

Lucan follows behind me. See you tomorrow.”

That is directed to his friends who stares at us like they are watching a movie. Students makes way for us as we walks out of the place

I walk till we get to a quiet place. I’m not going home with you.”

What do you mean?He asked calmly, I’ll pick you up and drop you every morning and evening. At your

house.”

I’m telling you I don’t want it.”

I’m telling you I don’t care.”

Our eyes fight in silent battles. I want to kill him

But I’m not sure he feels the same way. He wants to ruin me

Ruin everything my mom taught me

Be calm, Bora. Pretty girls don’t fight. Mature girls control their feelings. Be professional.”

I remember her words and I suck in a deep breath -hardly. Almost like my lungs aren’t enough to suck in all the air I want. My chest is tight as I flatten my lips

Fine. You’ll soon get tired of it anyway. I’m going to be late every morning and spoil your school record.”

With your mom in the house? He tilts his head, I’m pretty sure that’s impossible.”

If you think you can get to control me with this deal-”

Being my girlfriend isn’t much safer than getting bullied, Deborah. You just chose what you could handle. Escaping from them and being with me.He says

I hate to admit, but maybe it’s true

Maybe it’s better being perfect to the rest of the world and just learn from my mom

Maybe it’s better hiding my flaws and being a queen to every other person

So when they see through mewhen they see all that pent up anger and controlled feelings that choke me and bottles me upI tend to lose it. Because it’s not how I was trained

So maybe I picked the easier choice

Was it to look stupid in front of Lucan and be perfect to the rest of the world

Or to act tough with him and be easy to get outside

I picked the first and I hate myself for that

Chapter 18

I still hate myself

I will……still hate myself

But I don’t regret it

At least not yet

This is only till August,I say

He smirks, You want to find your mate?”

I don’t reply

Okay, then.”

He shrugs and walks towards the car, shoving our bags into the back seat. I shouldn’t rob you of your fancy little dream, should I?”
