I hissed. 

She walked quietly and sat beside me.

I scoffed. 

“I do not have such patience. It was a simple instruction, insist she did it, and allow them to send her to prison, only then can we use her as we wish, but no, Finn went ahead to almost point the guard!” 

“But it wasn’t smart to poison him, it only drew more attention to him and you even,” Elara muttered, still chewing the gum from the lollipop earlier. 

“I know that this would be messy, I predicted this.” 

“Just messy?” I ran my hand through my hair. “That idiot Kaelen or whatever he calls himself almost ripped off my mask. I could have been exposed before the entire council and beheaded immediately!” 

We stayed quiet for some time, then I muttered. 

“Elara we are running out of time. Kaelen is close to finding out shit about him, and I can’t kill him even if I try to. He knows something is off about me and Thorne, and I suspect his eyes. He stayed calm all through the meeting, which was weird, he definitely was observing something.” 

“No,” Elara shook her head. 

“Thorne is blind as fuck. If he isn’t, he wouldn’t spend time licking that bitch in her pussy!” 

“He did?” I asked and arched an eyebrow. 

“Yes! The mate bond still controls him because he can’t see yet, once he regains his sight, his pride won’t let him hide it.”

If you can’t get them to make you the Luna now, divide them first, but make sure that you have one of them in the tip of your finger, do you understand?” I asked without staring at her. 

“Of course I do,” Elara answered. 

She stood up to leave, but before she opened the door, I called her back. 

“Elara?” 

She stopped and turned halfway. 

“Yes?” 

I swallowed hard, checking for the right words to use. 

“What is it?” Elara asked after I hesitated. 

“What happened that day? Did you sleep with Thorne?” 

She blinked, then smiled seductively. 

“See who is finally jealous,” she answered and walked back to me. 

“No, I didn’t sleep with him, not yet, but I promise to scream your name when we fuck.” 

“Don’t play with me!” My shoulder rose heavily as I drew closer to her. 

Without warning, I cupped her chin and roughly pressed a kiss on her lips. 

It should serve as a reminder that I am her mate, and I have every right to kill whosoever she submits her body to. 

“You should go, before they begin to look for you,” I whispered. 

Without any word, she walked out and I locked the door after her. 

Now alone, a dangerous smirk played on my face. 

I need to kill him off completely, that way, I am sure to be safe, I can always recruit any loving 

friend. 

I went into the bathroom and allowed water from the shower to pour over all my body, while I stood still thinking of what to lie to other guards when I kill him completely.

Minutes later, I was done.
