Goof has his attention on the tv and not paying attention to me. It makes it easier to sneak up on him. I had reached the back of the couch and placed my hands on his shoulders. Goof set his beer down on the table before laying his head back to look up at me. He smiles and if I was a weak woman I would have melted into a puddle. Well, weaker woman. I still melt but have learned how to make it not obvious. “Hey, babe,” he said. I leaned down and gently pressed my lips to his. I had meant for it to be a quick peck. I just couldn’t resist licking his top lip and getting a taste of his beer. Never been much of a beer girl before but all the times I have tasted it on Goof are making me a fan. I doubt I would like it from the source thought. Goof’s response was to open his mouth and then tried to suck my tongue into his mouth. Tried because I pulled back.
Not enough to stand up all the way, just enough he couldn’t get my tongue. I smiled against his lips when he groaned. “Hi,” I said against his lips. Goof grabbed one of my hands from his shoulder as I lifted up. It was getting uncomfortable being bent over for that long. “Come here, babe. My lap is lonely without you.” Goof flirted. “We can’t have now can we.” I giggled as he helped me around the side of the couch and onto his lap. After all, I do prefer his lap to any other piece of furniture. I sat down sideways on his lap and laid my head on his chest close to his shoulder. Goof wraps his arms around my waist and his chin on my head. “Have you been up long?” he asked. “No. Just long enough to pee and come downstairs.” I said. “So fifteen minutes or so.” he chuckled.
I playfully slapped his chest making him laugh more. “I’m sorry I left you to get the van unloaded,” I told him.” Don’t be. It was easy. I placed the stroller in the front closet by the door. The gift bags with clothes, blankets, towels, things like that are in the corner over there.” Goof pointed to the far corner of the living room. “That way we can remove tags and wash them all before I help you put them where you want. The bags with the bottles and stuff are in the pantry waiting to be opened and put in the dishwasher,” he said. He did all of this while I was sleeping. Didn’t I tell you he was a great guy? I snuggle closer into him and say “You are always so good to me, Micheal. Always taking care of me and doing things for me. I feel like I don’t do enough for you.”
Babe, you do plenty for me. For fuck sake you are growing our baby. You are sitting on my lap letting me hold you. I get to kiss you any time I want. I get to hold you every night and wake up to you every morning. You agreed to give us a chance. I don’t need anything more.” he said. I lifted my head to look at him. Goof leaned down as I whispered, “Neither do I.” He pressed his lips to mine and gave me three quick pecks before my stomach chose that moment to growl, “Okay, maybe a snack and plans for dinner too.” I giggled.
