CHAPTER 0119

Meadow’s POV

I woke up with his head between my legs

To be fair, I had been halfawake for a while, just reveling in the way he held me so close to him, my back against his chest. But then, he must’ve noticed that I was awake from the way my breathing pattern

changed

He’d kissed my neck, slowly running his firm hand over my stomach and chest, and then he had turned me so I was on my back. Still pretending?he murmured, and without another word, he made his way down my body, kissing a trail down until he got to my panties

I’m not pretending,” I whined playfully. I am truly asleep.”

Fine then.Alaric tore my panties at the sides. I’ll wake you up.”

I had muttered some gibberish about him ruining another nice pair of panties, but my words got stuck in my throat when he lowered his lips to my center and took his time to eat me out

Safe to say that I definitely woke up after that very eventful morning. And after Alaric made us breakfast and we ate, he fucked me on the counter and we may have accidentally knocked down the coffeemaker

But he brushed it off, saying, in his words: I’ll get you a hundred more coffeemakers if you’re so bothered about it.” And yeahI came after he said that

But soon, reality set inwell, only a little bit of reality. Alalric had to leave for a while to check out whatever the hell he had been working on. God, I couldn’t wait to see what it was. He said he was going to

take me tonight

And during the two or so hours that he was gone, I picked up my phone and turned it on. And as expected, I had text and missed calls from my sister.

I ignored them, instead choosing to only return Nova’s call

What the actual hell, Meadow?Nova gritted out the moment she answered. I cringed, the phone pressed

against my ear

Sorry,I managed

God! I’ve been trying to reach you since last night and you justDid you know I went to that house this morning all because I wanted to make sure you were okay?”

I’d barely opened my mouth when she continued. I only met Mel there, and apparently, she wasn’t informed that you two were leaving either.”

I ran my hand through my hair, throwing my head back against the couch. It wasn’t planned, I swear. We

justwe just needed to get away from the whole craziness for a bit.”

Right, she murmured after a while. Also, bad news. I ran into Juniper last night.”

My eyes widened, my heart beat stuttering. I wasn’t sure why, but all of a sudden, a sense of dread slithered down my spine. You did?My voice was airy. Anything concerning my sister just made me extra anxious. What did she want?”

Well, she heaved a sigh, and I could tell she was moving about, probably making coffee or breakfast. She demanded to know where you live. And at first, I denied it, but when she didn’t stop pushing, I admitted to knowing, but I didn’t tell her.”

I chewed nervously at the corner of my lip in silence. And what did she say after that?”

Just a few colorful words,Nova replied, and I could practically see her shrugging through the phone. Words that I sent back, of course. She laughed. You know, at first, she’d seemedless deranged than

usual. I was almost convinced that she had changed.”

My brows drew together. Oh?”

Yeah. A little nicer and I would’ve thought she was you.”

”

Now, those words sent the real dreadful shiver down my spine. Usually, Juniper hated me so much that

she would rather die than do anything to mirror me. The only time she welcomed it was when she was

trying to impersonate me

And that had worked a few times

I didn’t want to jump into conclusion, but I really fucking hoped she wasn’t trying to do anything insane

You’re a little quiet,Nova spoke up after a while. Are you okay?”

Um, yeah. Yeah. I justI don’t want to talk about her, Nova. I came here with Alaric for a reason. To forget about all that and just have some time to ourselves.”

Soshe drawled. A honeymoon?”

A smile curved the corner of my lips up as I remembered mentioning a honeymoon last night to Alaric. The words he had said to megosh

Do you want one? Because I’ll cancel every single fucking thing on my plate and we would go wherever

you want,‘

He wasn’t even trying too hard, or even trying hard at all. He was just doing what he genuinely wanted to dowhich was to make me happy

If only there weren’t other things threatening to come between us. If only there wasn’t already so much happening, and if only Alaric didn’t just want me because I could touch him…

Maybe I could let myself fall for him

The moment that thought crossed my mind, I heard the sound of the door opening and shutting. And not long after, Alaric turned the corner into the living roomwith a bouquet of roses and a few other shopping bags in his hands

I quickly ended the call with Novamuch to her displeasure, and then I made my way to Alaric. He had on a black tshirt today instead of a suit, and this way, his tattooed arm looked even sexier exposed

You went shopping?I asked, letting out a gasp as he immediately yanked me against him, handing me the flowers and letting the bags drop to the floor

Just wanted to grab you a quick present for tonight.”

My brow arched. Oh?”

Mmm,Alaric hummed positively. But firstHe leaned in, merging his lips with mine, and fireworks instantly exploded in my chest as the bouquet fell from my hand and onto the floor. I wrapped my arms around his neck, arching into him when he carried me off the floor

Fuck…” He rasped after a while. I wishBut then he trailed off, and I was left to wonder what he said

You wish what?I breathed, peppering kisses all over his face. But then he spoke, and even before he did, I could feel a slight tension in the air. Alaric?”

He smirked instead, picking up the bags from the floor without letting me down. And then we made our way to the room where he tossed me onto the bed

I want you to try these on,he murmured, eyes not leaving my body which was covered in only his shirt

And before I could even start to ask what on earth he was talking about, he continued. It’s what you’re wearing to the club tonight, baby.”

He walked out of the room, leaving me alone. And in my perplexed state, I reached for one of the bags

Victoria’s Secret one

And when I pulled out the items in the bag, my eyes widened, jaw dropping open

Black lace. That was all I could see. A new lingerie set

And I was about to start figuring out how I was going to put them on when I saw the small velvet box at the bottom of the bag

And when I flipped it open, my eyes widened even further

It was a black silicone Ushaped devicea panty vibrator. And right next to it was a small silver remote that was clearly made to operate it

Fallen Summary & Review: Fallen

Meadow Russell arrives at an upscale hotel, heart fluttering with excitement and nerves. She’s about to marry the love of her life, Tyler, in a small, private ceremony — just the two of them. Clutching her bag, she approaches the front desk with a smile. “Hi, I have a reservation. Meadow Russell.”

But from the very first second, something feels off.

The receptionist’s red-painted lips curl into a mocking sneer, and her colleague exchanges a strange look with her. Meadow’s cheerful tone falters as confusion settles in. The woman scoffs, “You’re kidding, right?” The disbelief in her tone makes Meadow’s stomach twist. She frowns, insisting there must be a mistake, but both receptionists continue to look at her with something close to pity — and something else she can’t quite name.

Then comes the shocker.

According to the hotel records, she’s already checked in. Two hours ago. With a man. The receptionist even claims to have spoken with her — complimenting her “cute top.” The same white crop top with the word “BRIDE” written across it that she’s wearing now.

Meadow tries to rationalize it. Maybe Tyler had checked in under her name. Maybe it’s a simple mix-up. She laughs nervously and explains that her fiancé must have done it for convenience. But both receptionists seem unconvinced. One of them finally sighs and hands her a spare keycard, muttering, “I hope you get things sorted out.”

On her way up to the room, Meadow’s heart pounds in her chest. Something feels horribly wrong, but she refuses to believe it. Tyler would never do anything to hurt her. They’ve been planning this wedding for months — their dream elopement. She tries to calm herself, breathing in and out as the elevator ascends, but her hands won’t stop shaking.

When she finally reaches the room and swipes the keycard, her worst fears materialize before her eyes.

The moment the door opens, the sound hits her first — muffled moans, heavy breathing, the rhythmic creak of the bed. Then she sees them.

Her twin sister, Juniper, straddling Tyler, his hands gripping her hips as he thrusts into her without restraint.

The world stops. The bag slips from Meadow’s trembling hands and lands with a soft thud. The scene before her feels like a cruel joke — something ripped out of a nightmare. Her vision blurs with tears, her body frozen in disbelief.

For a full minute, she just stands there. Watching. Waiting. Hoping someone would scream “gotcha” and end this cruel trick.

But there’s no misunderstanding to clear up. No mistake. No illusion.

Her twin sister moans again, whispering, “Yes, that’s it, baby,” as if to drive the knife deeper into Meadow’s heart.

Something inside her shatters.

“Juniper…? Tyler?” she finally manages to whisper, her voice barely recognizable.

They both turn, startled. Tyler’s face twists in shock, then panic. He pushes Juniper off him, stammering, “Meadow, I swear, I thought she was you!”

It’s a pathetic excuse. One that doesn’t even make sense.

Juniper doesn’t even bother covering herself. She just smirks, tossing her messy hair over her shoulder like a queen enjoying the chaos she’s created. “Oh, please,” she scoffs. “It’s time we drop the act. This has been going on for a while.”

Meadow stumbles back, staring between them. “What are you talking about?”

Her twin rolls her eyes. “You really didn’t think he loved you, did you?”

It hits Meadow all at once — the hotel mix-up, the receptionist’s strange looks, the duplicate “Meadow Russell” check-in. Juniper had stolen her identity, her name, her wedding — and the man she loved.

Tyler tries to approach her again, naked and unashamed. He grabs her jaw gently, his expression hard. “You thought I loved you, Meadow? No. Juni’s the love of my life.”

The words pierce like knives.

Every memory — every kiss, every late-night conversation, every promise he made — turns to ash. She had believed in him completely, trusted him with her heart. And all along, he’d been sharing that same intimacy with her twin sister.

Meadow stares at Juniper, still unable to process it. The last time she saw her twin was two years ago. They’d grown apart after Juniper’s endless trail of lies and manipulation had driven a wedge between them. Juniper had always been the beautiful, daring, chaotic one — the one who got what she wanted, no matter who she hurt. But never, not in her darkest thoughts, had Meadow imagined she would do this.

Juniper laughs again, the sound sharp and cruel. “She’s in shock, baby. Maybe we should help her out of her misery,” she says mockingly, then pulls Tyler into another kiss right in front of her.

That’s when Meadow realizes this isn’t a mistake. This isn’t a sudden betrayal. It’s a plan.

Her sister had known exactly what she was doing. She had tracked Meadow down, learned about the wedding, and swooped in like a vulture to destroy what little happiness she had built. The matching outfit, the fake check-in — all of it was deliberate.

The pain turns into rage. Her tears blur her sight, her breath coming out in shaky bursts. Every muscle in her body screams at her to turn around, to run far away from the two people who’ve just ripped her soul apart.

But she doesn’t move.

She stands there, trembling, her heart breaking piece by piece as she watches her sister smirk and her fiancé — her almost-husband — stand there unashamed, not even offering a shred of remorse.

Tyler and Juniper exchange a look, and she realizes — they’re enjoying this. They want her to see. To suffer.

Meadow’s hands ball into fists. She feels like she’s watching her life crumble in real time, and there’s nothing she can do but breathe through the ache and pray she doesn’t collapse.

Every part of her screams that this is the moment she loses everything — her trust, her love, her family.

And yet, deep inside, a spark ignites — not of despair, but of something darker. A promise that this won’t be the end of her story.

Because betrayal that deep doesn’t fade. It carves itself into your bones. And Meadow Russell — heartbroken, humiliated, and hollow — walks out of that hotel room knowing one thing for certain.

She will never forgive them.

And one day, they will both pay for what they’ve done.
