“Honey, I know you hate me, but you’ve only been gone for eight months, and the child in your belly is already that big. Who else could it be but mine?” 

As Kenneth spoke, he tried to get closer, but Christina raised her handgun and aimed it at him. 

“Kenneth, don’t come any closer. There is nothing left between us.” 

Hearing the commotion inside, a crowd of bystanders had already gathered outside the shop. 

Kenneth ignored them, continuing to approach step by step. A bullet struck the floor in front of his feet, splintering instantly and leaving a bloody scratch on his face. 

He kept moving forward. Without hesitation, he grabbed Christina’s hand and pressed the gun against his own chest. 

“If killing me can make you forgive me, then pull the trigger.”
