Before the Sunrise Reminds Me Who I Was Supposed to Become by Telion Marex Arlwin 8 Summary
In this chapter, the characters engage in a tense and mysterious questioning session with Luther, who has just appeared before them. The narrator eagerly takes the lead, asking Luther what their kiss tasted like, to which Luther reluctantly admits it was “sweet” and “cherry,” surprising everyone present and causing a stir among the livestream audience. The narrator then asks about Luther’s size, which leads to a confusing exchange about whether he means age or physical measurement, ending with Luther revealing he is “twenty-four centimeters,” adding an odd twist to the interaction.
Next, the younger girl carefully poses her three questions, trying to avoid angering Luther. She confirms that the villa was both Luther’s home and the place of his death, and that he experienced abuse while alive there. However, when she asks if his death was caused by domestic violence from a family member, Luther denies it, leaving her frustrated and without further questions.
The tall guy then takes his turn, focusing on the nature of the abuse Luther suffered. He asks if the abuse came from non-family members like staff and if it was motivated by money. Luther confirms the abuse came from staff but denies that money was the sole reason, explaining that those who hurt him were not acting entirely of their own free will and had another purpose. This revelation leaves the tall guy puzzled and deep in thought, indicating that the truth behind Luther’s death and the abuse he endured is more complex than initially believed.

The black inbat thickened, and Luther drifted into view, his tall form materializing in front of us.
Before anyone else could speak, I shot my hand up. “I want to go first!”
My eyes locked on him, bright with mischief.
“When I kissed you last night,” 1 asked, “what did it laste like?”
Luther froze. Every inch of him radiated resistance and exasperation. But rules were rules
even the Boss couldn’t lie during The Boss’s Truth quest.
“…Sweet,” he said finally, voice tight.
“Cherry.”
The other two players whipped their heads toward me, their faces blank with shock, Jaws practically hitting the floor.
The livestream chat went insane–lines of ????? filling the air.
Satisfied, I smiled and went on.
“Second question. How big are you?”
Luther frowned.
“You mean… how old I am?” he muttered under his breath.
His tone stayed calm, but there was a trace of confusion and irritation.
–
“You only get three questions. Are you sure you want to waste one on something so trivial?”
Trivial? Hardly. This was very important.
“I’m sure,” I said.
He hesitated, then answered, “…Twenty–four.”
I frowned back. “That’s not specific enough. Twenty–four what–centimeters or millimeters?”
The silence was immediate and painful.
“Twenty–four years–wait-” Luther suddenly caught on.
“What exactly are you asking?”
I gave a low whistle, blinking innocently. “Just clarifying the units. What’s wrong with that?”
He stared at me wordlessly. For a long, agonizing moment, the room was dead silent.
Then, through gritted teeth, he muttered, “…Centimeters.”
Nice.
Grinning, I leaned back, completely unbothered.
“Alright, I’m good for now. I’ll save my last question. Let them go next.”
When the younger girl stepped forward, she shot me a very complicated look.

But with our lives on the line, she clearly didn’t have the energy to gossip.
Knowing that the wrong question might piss the Boss off, she took a moment to sort out her wording and decided to go the roundabout roule
“First question,” she said.
“Was this villa once your home… and also the place where you died?”
Lanther nodded slowly.
“Yes”
“Second question. While you were alive in this house, did you suffer some kind of physical or emotional abuse?”
He nodded again.
“Yes,”
A confident smile appeared on her face. It looked like she thought she had the puzzle half–solved already.
“Did you die because of domestic violence from a family member?”
This time, Laither slowly shook his head.
“No.”
Her smile froze.
She clearly hated that answer, but she had already used up all three of her questions. She could only step back, frustrated.
Then it was the tall guy’s turn.
“First question.”
He stared hard at Luther.
“The abuse you went through… did it come from people who weren’t related to you? Like the butler, the maids, staff in the villa?”
“Yes.”
“And the reason they abused you, and even tried to kill you… was it for money?”
That question was risky, and he knew it.
His hands were slick with sweat, afraid he would anger the Boss.
But if he got an answer, it might reveal the truth about how the Boss died.
And hidden in that truth, there might be a clue to the correct wish.
However, Luther slowly shook his head.
“To be precise,” he said, “they did not actually kill me. They were not acting entirely of their own free will when they hurt me. And it was not just about money. They had another purpose.”
The tall guy went blank for a second, clearly thrown off.
He stood there, thinking hard for a long time before…
