Chapter 179
Tyler’s POV
David raised his chained hands, pointing to someone neat Madison. ‘It’s her!‘
David pointed to a maid, one I recognized as having asked Madison if she was sure Rachel was dead. The maid let out a scream and fainted but quickly recovered with the help of the royal doctor, Emma.
The maid’s face was pale, her eyes filled with tears and fear, her body trembling. As soon as she woke, she ran to Madison, begging, “Miss, please tell them…! It was you who asked me to do it. I was just following your orders. They’ll throw me in jail if you don’t speak up!”
Madison kicked her away violently, her face contorted with rage and disgust. “Who the hell are you?” she screamed, her voice cracking with fury. Get away from me, you filthy liar! Guards! Someone remove this… this deranged woman immediately! She’s clearly insane! Madison’s hands trembled as she backed
away,
King Jason commanded both Madison and the maid to remain silent.
On that same night,” I continued, “a servant named Zoe went missing. Her roommate Chloe informed the staff supervisor Jennifer, but no one knew where she was.
People guessed she might have just quit and gone home, but Chloe didn’t think she would do that.
After hearing about this, I contacted Zoe’s family. I looked toward Madison, finding her staring at the ground beneath her feet, seemingly knowing what I was about to say, the scent of fear emanating from her pheromones.
“Please let me introduce her sic
LUC
to tell you what I found,” I said.
Lucy walked out under the protection of two warriors.
Whispers immediately spread through the crowd because this girl looked remarkably like Rachel. She was taller and not as beautiful, but her copper hair was the same length and texture.
It was obvious that on a full moon night, from a distance, this girl could have been mistaken for Rachel.
Lucy bowed to King Jason and Queen Elizabeth. “Your Majesties.”
“My family received a letter,” Lucy said, “stating that my twin sister had been expelled from the pack for misconduct and sent to the border. My parents were very upset. Zoe wouldn’t behave like that.”
I looked around at the audience, seeing tears in everyone’s eyes.
Lucy continued, “They went to the border to wait for her… but she never appeared. They waited for several days, but Zoe never showed up.”
She explained that her family contacted Emerald City but were told Zoe was no longer here. Since her parents thought she was expelled for poor performance, they didn’t pursue the matter, assuming she might have run away out of shame.
“Who wrote that letter, Lucy?” I asked. “Who sent the letter to your parents saying your sister was expelled for misconduct?”
Lucy needed a moment to compose herself as she began
sobs of the audience.
So I pulled a handkerchief from my pocket and handed it to her, listening to the heartbroken
When Lucy could finally speak, she said, “It was her, pointing at Madison, “she sent it.”
‘She can’t prove that!” Madison shouted. “She could be lying!”
“Madison,” I said in my most reproachful tone, “you don’t have to believe her, like everyone else here. But we all make judgments based on evidence.
“I can prove it,” Lucy said. “I have the letter right here. She pulled the letter from her pocket, and the audience gasped in surprise.

In that moment, she wasn’t the untouchable Madison anymore–just a woman shattered by truth.
Is that all, Tyler?‘ the King asked, looking at me.
I couldn’t read his tone but immediately responded, ‘Yes, Your Majesty.”
The King raised an eyebrow. ‘I’ll make my own judgment.”
I glanced at Madison, watching as she lifted her head with heartbreaking effort. Her face was ghostly pale, completely drained of color, with tears sp down her cheeks in glistening rivulets. That faint glimmer of hope in her eyes only made the sight more devastating
But I knew this was just her act. She killed someone and made a mistake, so she deserves to face the consequences.
King Jason stood and walked toward the warrior David, asking, “Is what we heard true, young man? Did you indeed shoot an arrow at an innocent woman, causing her death? Do you understand that the consequence for such a crime is expulsion from the pack?”
“Y–yes, Your Majesty,” he answered, then began to cry. “But please be merciful, Your Majesty! I thought it was an order! I didn’t know what I was doing
King Jason closed his eyes for a moment, as if annoyed, then said, “Take him away. I’ll deal with him later.”
The King turned to Madison, his Alpha pheromones pressing down on the entire venue.
“Madison, your behavior in this situation and others is shocking,” King Jason said.
Before the King could continue, Alpha Raymond stood up and asked, “King Jason, may I interject?” His voice was filled with urgency.
