Chapter 180
Tyler’s POV
I watched as Alpha Raymond stood up, his face a mask of determination. The crowd gasped collectively, all eyes fixed on this unexpected development.
“Raymond, what exactly are you objecting to? King Jason asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.
*Nothing, Your Majesty,” Raymond said, his voice surprisingly steady. He turned toward Madison, who looked up at him with pleading eyes, tears stirening down her face. “Madison, you are a disgrace to the Goldshore pack. I believe every word Tyler has spoken today is true. I have tolerated your cunning. underhanded behavior for far too long. I believe the best punishment for you is to leave Emerald City immediately!”
I can’t believe he’s not helping Madison.
Madison’s face crumpled. “And go back to Goldshore?” she asked, her voice small and trembling.
Raymond’s expression hardened. ‘No. As of this moment, I revoke your status as my daughter and as a member of the Goldshore pack. You are now a rogue
The crowd erupted in shocked whispers. Being declared a rogue was one of the most severe punishments in our society–it meant being cut off from pack protection, resources, status…everything.
“No! Father, please don’t! You can’t do this!” Madison screamed, her voice breaking with desperation.
Her perfectly made–up face was now a mess of tears and smudged makeup, a far cry from the confident bride she’d been just minutes ago.
Raymond looked to King Jason, seeking approval for his decision. The King nodded grimly.
“Guards, King Jason commanded, remove her from the premises.”
Two royal guards stepped forward, taking Madison by the arms. She thrashed wildly as they dragged her away, her screams echoing through the garden.
“No! Father, no!”
I watched as Raymond’s shoulders slumped. Tears glistened in his eyes as he turned and walked away. He had come here expecting to give his daughter to her new husband, not to banish her from their pack forever.
King Jason approached me. “You are an excellent Beta, Tyler,” he said his tone measured.
“Thank you, Your Majesty,” I responded with a slight bow.
Despite his words, I could sense the king’s displeasure. I understood why–regardless of Madison’s crimes, our actions had effectively severed the political alliance between Vortex Island and the Goldshore pack.
Nathan had acted without consulting the king, leaving His Majesty with no choice in the matter.
But I also knew the king wasn’t pleased with Raymond’s collaboration with the West either. It was a political mess on all sides.
King Jason patted my shoulder briefly before turning to help Queen Elizabeth to her feet. As they prepared to leave, the queen surprised me with a question.
“The breeder… Rachel. Is she still alive?” Her voice was soft but clear.
“Yes, Your Majesty. Thank you for your concern, Vreplied, careful to reveal nothing more.
Queen Elizabeth nodded, a small smile gracing her lips. “That’s good,” she said before departing with her husband.
The guests began dispersing, murmuring among themselves about the scandal they’d just witnessed. I exhaled deeply, thanking the Moon Goddess that this dramatic ordeal was finally over.
Later, I found Nathan in his office, already reviewing newly delivered documents.
Chapter 180
Alpha, it’s done, I reported, closing the door behind me.
Nathan looked up, satisfaction flickering across his normally stoic features. “Good. What did Jason say?
*Raymond declared Madison a rogue, and the king simply ordered her to be escorted out of Emerald City,” I explained, loosening my tie
“That’s it?” Nathan seemed surprised. “She becomes a rogue?”
I sighed, running a hand through my hair. “I know. But with Raymond there, the king really couldn’t sentence his daughter to death.
“Raymond is an old fox indeed,” Nathan commented, his gray eyes
calculating.
I understood what he meant. As both a father and an Alpha, Raymond had proposed his own punishment.
As long as that punishment was somewhat acceptable, others would respect his decision–even the king would go along with it.
“Alpha, do you think Raymond knew about all this?” I asked, voicing the question that had been bothering me.
Nathan shook his head. “If it was Raymond, I doubt we’d find any evidence. All witnesses would be dead by now.”
I noticed that Nathan still looked troubled. He rubbed the bridge of his nose, fatigue evident in his posture.
