Madison’s POV
I crouched in the shadows of the forest, my eyes fixed on Nathan’s camp in the distance.
My wolf was restless beneath my skin, eager for the attack to begin.
“Are your people ready?” the leader of Jason’s forces asked, his tone skeptical as he surveyed my warriors.
I whipped my head around, eyes flashing dangerously. “You got shit in your eyes? I told you my people were ready ten fucking minutes ago.”
The man’s jaw tightened, but he said nothing. I roll my eyes and turn back to study the camp, noting the guards positions and movements.
“We attack when they change shifts in ten minutes,” I instructed, already unbuttoning my blouse. “I’m shifting now. Tell your people to be ready.”
As I stripped down, I couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was watching me. Not one of my team or Jason’s men- something else.
My wolf sensed it too, hackles rising beneath my skin. I scanned the tree line but saw Hothing unusual in the gathering darkness.
Still, the sensation lingered, like cold fingers trailing down my spine.
Probably just nerves, I told myself, though I didn’t believe it.
Ten minutes later, I gave the signal. The leader of Jason’s forces and I let out simultaneous howls that shattered the evening quiet.
Three hundred wolves burst from the forest edge, charging toward Nathan’s camp.
My wolf form darted through the chaos, my target clear: the central tent where Rachel was supposedly being kept.
I tore through one warrior after another, their blood staining my muzzle as I fought my way toward the center of the camp. Some fell easily; others put up more of a fight.
None slowed me for long!
Bitch, just die!
Almost there, I thought, leaping over a fallen body.
Suddenly, a massive black wolf appeared in the clearing ahead. Nathan. Even in wolf form, his presence commanded attention.
His head swiveled as he surveyed the battlefield, his eyes cold and calculating until they locked on me.
Fear shot through my body like électricity. Nathan’s wolf was enormous–far larger than I’d anticipated, his black fur gleaming in the fading light. For a moment, I felt my resolve waver.

Chapter 251
Don’t be weak, I scolded myself. He and that bitch Rachel both deserve to die
Nathan charged forward, his powerful legs eating up the distance between us.
Several warriors tried to intercept him, but he tore through them like they were nothing more than training dummie Bodies flew in his wake, some still alive, others decidedly not.
I watched as Jason’s second wave broke through the tree line, heading straight for Nathan,
The plan was simple: kill Nathan, capture Rachel alive.
plan would get me what I wanted.
I hated working with Jason, but his and watch her beg on her knees!
I can’t wait to take that slut’s baby away
I’ll make her watch while I do fun,
to her precious son. I’ll enjoy hearing her scream in agony.
I planned to torture Rachel in a hundred different pleasure.

A gray female wolf–human in her other form–lunged at me from the side. I reacted instantly, sinking my teeth into her throat and ripping it out in one savage motion. The wolf collapsed, her beautiful features contorting in death.
I stepped on the fallen wolf’s body, mentally sneering. Ugly piece of trash.
Somewhere in the chaos, a heartbroken cry rose up–someone mourning their mate.
My wolf let out a sound that resembled laughter.
Pathetic.
So fucking stupid to care about anyone that much.
I observed Nathan fighting across the battlefield. Even as my enemy, I had to admit he was impressive–powerful, fast, his wolf form unmatched.
He is always hot.
I remembered being younger, dreaming of becoming his bride.
Now my hatred for him far outweighed any former admiration.
But he doesn’t deserve my love!
I will only be my own queen.
Nathan killed without mercy, even slaughtering some wanderers who weren’t part of either force but had simply been in his camp. He showed no remorse, only cold efficiency.
I saw my opportunity when Nathan became distracted by three attackers. I darted toward the central tent, intent on capturing Rachel while Nathan was occupied.

Chapter 251
But before I could reach it, a large tan wolf blocked my path.
Tyler.
You owe me for what happened at the Blood Wedding, I thought bitterly.
I lunged at him, but Tyler was too quick. He dodged my attack and countered with his own, his teeth sinking into my
shoulder.
I howled in pain, twisting to break free, but Tyler was too strong. He pinned me to the ground, his jaws poised above my throat for a killing blow.
I howled desperately for help, but no one came. I was going to die here, beneath Tyler’s jaws.
Fuck you, Moon Goddess. Fuck this whole world.
Why is everyone against me? What have I done wrong?
Suddenly, a blur of red and black fur slammed into Tyler, knocking him off me.
A strange wolf stood protectively in front of me, his fur an unusual mix of red and black.
I felt confused, but something else too–an inexplicable pull toward this male wolf.
Not waiting to question it, I let out a retreat howl and bolted for the tree line. Before disappearing into the forest, I glanced back and saw several snarling wolves–Jason’s secret operatives–entering Rachel’s tent.
A smile formed on my muzzle. As long as someone gets Rachel, that’s all that matters.
Once at a safe distance, I shifted back to human form, wincing as Tyler’s attack wounds made themselves known. I leaned against a rocky outcropping, cursing myself for not being better prepared. Tyler had nearly killed me.
“You should be more careful,” a deep voice said from behind the rocks.
I spun around to see a tall, muscular man with dark hair and penetrating eyes approaching me. My wolf stirred with
excitement.
“Mate,” he said softly.
I stared in shock, then burst out laughing. “Who are you?”
“We should leave this place,” he replied calmly. “Come with me.”
I instinctively stepped back. “Not until you tell me who you are.”
The man’s lips curved into a slight smile. “I’m your mate, Madison.”
My eyes widened. “How do you know/my name? I don’t even know you.”
He said, “But in time, you will.”
He pulled me closer, and the spark of our mate bond made me gasp.

Chapter 251
“I was sent here weeks ago to monitor the camp and a woman leading troops to protect my prey,” he explained. “I never saw you until today, but I’m glad I did. You would have died otherwise.”
This man seemed just as dangerous as Nathan.
I whispered. “Tell me who you are.”
The man’s eyes glinted in the moonlight. “I am Kael, son of the Alpha of the Western Territory. And you, my beautiful mate, are my future Luna.”
Kael leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead.
My mate?
