When Zachary saw the message on his phone saying Jasmine was coming to the company to have lunch with him, he instantly lost all interest in talking to Nicole any further.
He had just turned a corner when he saw Jasmine walking toward him.
“Jas, I missed you so much.” With that, he pulled her into a tight embrace.
Jasmine herself didn’t understand why Zachary had become so clingy since graduation. If he woke up and couldn’t see her, he’d get especially irritable. She was the one who had been hurt, yet somehow it felt like he was even more traumatized than she was.
“Let’s go eat. My new book is finished, so I have some free time now. I can spend every day with you, okay?”
“Okay.”
Nicole, who had been kicked out of the building, was burning with anger, but she still didn’t want to give up and kept waiting downstairs.
After waiting for who knows how long, Nicole saw Jasmine coming out of the building. Driven by a sudden impulse, she followed her. Seeing Jasmine’s relaxed demeanor and then looking at her own disheveled state, Nicole’s rage flared up.
“Didn’t you say that in your dream, I should have someone hit her to get back at my family? Fine, I’ll give you what you want right now‘
With a crazed look, she sped up and charged straight at Jasmine.
Back in the office, Zachary felt uneasy. He should have asked Jasmine to

He picked up his phone and called Jasmine.
“Jas, come back and keep me…

“Are you this person’s family? She was hit by a car, there’s a lot of blood, at… over here, please come quickly…”
Before Zachary could finish his sentence, a stranger’s voice interrupted him on the phone. A car accident?
Why did Jas get into a car accident?

A month had passed since the accident. Nicole had been sent to prison, and the plans against the Walsh family had all wrapped up. The Walsh family was destroyed once again, but Jasmine still hadn’t woken up.
“Jas, you’ve been asleep for a month now. Why aren’t you waking up? Your editor is still waiting for your new book…”
Suddenly, he felt a faint movement in the hand he was holding. He immediately quieted down and stared intently at Jasmine’s hand in his palm.
It moved, it really moved! Overjoyed and in tears, Zachary quickly called for the doctor. After a flurry of activity, Jasmine finally woke up completely. However, she was still weak and soon fell asleep again.
Immersed in overwhelming joy, Zachary didn’t notice the look Jasmine gave him when she woke up.
For the next while, he stayed by Jasmine’s side every moment, helping her with rehabilitation, never leaving her unless absolutely necessary.
Since waking up, Jasmine had been very quiet, spending her days in a daze and completely ignoring Zachary, who kept talking to her nonstop. Zachary noticed something was off, but assumed she just hadn’t recovered yet and didn’t think much of it.
In the days leading up to Jasmine’s full recovery, she always found various excuses to send Zachary away. At first, he was afraid that Jasmine would disappear as soon as he left, but every time he came back, she was always waiting for him. Gradually, he relaxed.
One day, Jasmine again asked Zachary for a cupcake from the north side

of the city and a tiramisu from the south side. Without thinking much, Zachary drove off to buy them.
“Wait for me at home, be good. I’ll be back soon. If you want anything else, just send me a message.”
