There was no foreplay, no tendernessonly force. Elsa cried out in pain, but hunger dulled her reaction. She stayed on the ground, desperately eating the fish meat that had been thrown to her

Louis gripped her hips, moving roughly inside her. Her body was jolted back and forth, her chest swaying with every motion

The violence made it difficult for her to eat, but she managedclearly, this wasn’t her first time being forced to endure something like this

Despite the brutal pace, Elsa soon finished the food. Louis let out a low groan, lost in the physical sensation rather than any emotional connection

I stayed crouched in the underbrush, silent and still

Watching this didn’t fill me with rage

I had long since stopped feeling anything for Elsa

If Louis had killed her on the spot, I wouldn’t have flinched. If he kept tormenting her, I wouldn’t lift a finger

I was here for a different reason: to protect Alice and Lily if things went sideways

About ten minutes later, Louis was done

He looked bored, maybe even irritated, as if the whole act had failed to entertain him. Elsa was no beauty anymore. Shipwreck and desperation had stripped her of

all that

He glanced at the grime on his body, muttered something, and walked off toward

the beach to wash

I listened to the waves, calculating distance

Five hundred meters to the shore, maybe more. He’d be gone a while

Still hidden, I stayed in place. Alice and Lily should be arriving any minute now

Sure enough, once Louis was out of sight, the two women came running

Lily worked on the ropes binding Elsa’s hands, while Alice wiped her down gently

Lily spoke softly to comfort her, checking for injuries

But something wasn’t right

In my mercenary years, I’d encountered plenty of people who’d been tied up for hoursarms numb, skin bruised, joints stiff

But Elsa didn’t flinch. She moved her arms easily, even took a water bottle from Alice like nothing was wrong

Those ropesthey hadn’t been tight

Nothis wasn’t restraint. It was staging

A setup

A trap

The moment I realized it, I burst from the bushes and shouted

Watch out!”

Lily turned, stunned by my sudden appearance

And then Elsa struck

She swung the rope like a noose and looped it around Lily’s neck, yanking hard

Lily gasped, her hands clawing at the tightening cord

Elsa’s face twisted into a manic grin

She dragged Lily backward, shouting, Ha! You dumb bitches actually fell for it! I always knew your bleeding hearts would get the better of you. Time for me to return the favor. Once you’re dead, you’ll get to rest in peace. No more suffering on this island.”

Lily’s feet kicked up dust and gravel as she struggled

She arched her back, trying to relieve the pressure on her throat, but the rope bit deeper into her skin. Her face turned a deep red, then purple

Alice, frozen in shock, finally sprang into action. She grabbed Elsa’s hair and started pounding on her head

But Elsa didn’t let go

I rushed in and slashed the rope with my knife

Elsa fell backward, losing her grip. She looked at me for a split second, then bolted into the trees

I turned to Lily

You okay?”

She clutched her throat, gasping hard, but managed a shaky OKsign with her fingers

I nodded and took off after Elsa

I was closing in fast when Louis sprang out from behind a tree

We collided, tumbling across the dirt. He grabbed the wrist holding my knife

I rammed my elbow into his cheek

Blood and a tooth flew from his mouth, but he didn’t let go

He raised a jagged branch like a spear and drove it straight toward my chest
