I handed the burning piece of wood to Ginnie. “Help me with this, will you?”
Ginnie nodded and took the flaming stick from my hand.

Feeling at ease, I lay back on the grass, gasping for breath.
Hailey and Lily brought over a basin of seawater and began wiping the sweat off my body.
After cleaning my upper half, Lily hesitated when it came to my lower body.

I was left completely naked on the grass as they wiped away the sweat, then moved me into the shade of a tree to rest.
To prevent the injury from worsening, Lily and Hailey took turns watching over me through the night.
Around ten p.m., Lily checked the wound and found it had already healed by 80%.
What once looked like roasted meat had regenerated into normal skin.
The only difference was that the newly healed skin was rough and wrinkled.

“But brightly colored mushrooms are usually toxic,” Lily said, puzzled.
I shrugged. “Maybe I just got lucky?”
Hailey blushed. “It might have some other side effects…”
One side effect of the red mushroom was that my genitals remained erect.
I had just woken up, so I didn’t know how long it had been like that, but the skin was dark and purplish, the veins visibly bulging–it looked pretty frightening.
Lily gently touched it, and it immediately twitched upward.
