Chapter 5 A Mark for Vengeance

On a deserted island, coconuts are the best food you can find—they provide water, sugar, and energy.
They’re easy to store and can be used at any time…
But I didn’t go pick any: coconuts take ten months to mature—far too long for a survivor.
Instead, I found some thumb-sized berries in the shrubs at the far end of the beach.
I also found a few shells scattered on the sand.
The biggest catch, though, was a fish.
It was a fat flounder, nearly a kilo in weight.
I brought everything back and used a sharp rock to clean the flounder.
Flounder is soft and tasty—and packed with nutrients.
Most importantly, it has a bit of water content.
I was in a good mood. I turned to Lily and said, “Flounder live in coastal shallows and rocky cracks. If there are flounders here, that means there’s fresh water on the island.”
“Tomorrow, I’ll head deeper into the forest and really look. We have to find a water source,” I said with hope.
Lily nodded sweetly.
We shared the little food we had.
Lily went down to the shore to wash her hands. I picked a dry patch of sand and used the palm leaves she’d gathered to build a makeshift shelter.
I glanced at her thin swimsuit. “It’s probably going to get cold tonight. Here, take my shirt.”
She thanked me gratefully.
We lay together in the sand pit, layering the palm leaves over ourselves.
With my constitution, I could definitely make it through the night.
But Lily was a delicate woman, and she wasn’t dressed for the cold.
If we were unlucky, she might freeze to death before morning.
Lily must have been thinking the same thing.
In the dark, her soft voice came: “Mr. Leon, could you hold me?”
I’ll admit, cuddling for warmth is a good way to survive the cold.
But for two strangers alone together like this, that kind of closeness came with its own risks.
I pulled her into my arms from behind, our bodies pressed tightly together.
Her backside was nestled right against me.
She was tense and shivering, her soft curves brushing up against me over and over.
Before long, my body responded…
I grew harder by the second, pressing against the warmth of her soft curves.
Her hips were round and soft. Maybe it was the cold, but she trembled slightly.
That trembling made her body rub against mine even more, making it harder to stay composed.
I awkwardly tried to shift away, but Lily whispered, “Please… hold me tighter. I’m really cold…”
I wrapped my arms around her waist and held her closer.
With my body already fired up, I slid against her and ended up nestled between her thighs.
I shut my eyes and listened to the waves and wind outside.
The air was freezing, but I didn’t feel cold anymore.
Lily’s breathing slowed. She fell asleep quickly.
My body was still buzzing, but I forced myself to sleep.
Shadow Island was dangerous. I needed my strength. I couldn’t afford to lose focus.
When I woke the next morning, Lily was already up, washing her face and brushing her hair by the sea.
I picked two coconuts for breakfast.
After a while, Lily came over.
Her hair was neatly done and she looked bright and refreshed.
She stood in front of me, and I handed her a coconut.
“Thank you,” she said politely, then slowly began eating.
She had a calm, elegant air about her—like someone well-read and highly educated.
Compared to Lily, Elsa was an ignorant, shameless tramp.
I used to think Elsa, my wife, was the most beautiful woman in the world.
Now I realized: she might’ve looked decent, but she was dumb, reckless, and vulgar.
After we finished the coconuts, Lily smiled at me and said, “Mr. Leon, you’ve done so much for me. Now it’s my turn to repay you. It’s time we go drive Elsa crazy. But before we head out, I need you to leave a hickey on my neck.”
She tilted her head back and exposed her neck to me.
I wasn’t sure what she was thinking, but I did as she asked.
I wrapped my arms around her waist and pressed my mouth to her neck, sucking hard.
Her skin was delicate. When I pulled back, there was a dark red mark that nearly looked black.
It stood out starkly against her pale skin.
Then Lily asked me to leave another one—right below her collarbone.
I leaned down and kissed the soft skin between her collarbone and chest.
I didn’t have much experience with women. The sucking gradually turned into gentle biting.
My teeth grazed her skin, making her let out a soft moan.
After several seconds, I finally let her go.
She looked down at the mark on her chest and smiled in satisfaction.
Lily took my arm. “Let’s go. Time to teach Elsa a lesson.”
The confident gleam in her eyes made me curious to see what would happen next.
