There was no way in hell she could scrape together 8 million right now. Worse, she risked losing her kids to that man. So her only option was to divorce Marcus ASAP, get out of here, and figure out the money later.
Bertha got up, washed up, left a note telling the three kids to stay inside, and headed out.
She hailed a taxi straight for Marcus’s residence to file for divorce.

Marcus wasn’t angry about the money. Losing a few billion meant nothing to a man of his wealth.
What truly infuriated him was the obvious fact that someone was targeting him personally.
For years, Marcus had dominated the business world. A mere frown from him could send shockwaves through the entire economic sphere.
No one dared even raise their voice to him, let alone launch such a brazen attack.
Worse still, his top hackers couldn’t trace the perpetrator.
The frustration burned through him with no outlet.
When the boss was in a foul mood, the entire company suffered. The Gonzalez Group was steeped in a tense atmosphere.
Axell was swamped with work, his phone ringing off the hook.
Just as they were trying to assess the damage, all company systems crashed. Employees who should have been scrambling with damage control now sat at their desks, exchanging helpless glances, completely paralyzed.

Axell wiped beads of sweat from his forehead, barking orders at the panicked IT staff.
The tech team was really frustrated. These were no amateurs, yet today, they’d met their match.
After what felt like an eternity, someone finally shouted, “Got it! Systems rebooting!”

On the computer screen, several lines of large–sized words popped up:“Consider this a warning. Lay one more Finger on that girl, and I’ll be back. You’ve been warned, Mr. Gonzalez.”
The Gonzalez Group employees were shocked.
Staring at the screens, they forgot where they were and burst into whispers.
Holy shit, the crash was intentional? Who’s so good enough to hack our system?”
And they’re warning Mr. Gonzalez to watch himself!”
H–He said Mr. Gonzalez bullied a girl!”
n the CEO’s office, Marcus stared at his computer screen, his lips pressed into a thin line, his face dark with fury.
Axell felt the room was freezing.
Swallowing hard, Axell tentatively tried to calm him down.
Marcus, please, don’t take this to heart. This accusation that you’re bullying some girl is completely baseless! Everyone knows your character.”
Where’s that woman from yesterday?” Marcus asked in a cold tone.
It took Axell a second to realize he meant Bertha.“We haven’t located her
Losers! Marcus roared.
Axell trembled, cold sweat dripping down his back.
Working for Marcus was under such pressure.

Marcus’s gaze remained locked on the screen. He wanted Bertha found because he was certain the “girl” mentioned in the message had to be her.
He wasn’t naive enough to consider himself a saint, but he never went out of his way to bully anyone, least of
all women.
His only obsession had been finding Casper’s mother. Beyond that, he rarely interacted with women at all. Yet yesterday, he’d not only confronted that woman and detained her.
The hackers under his employ were among the best in the world, yet in a single day, they’d failed him twice. First, they couldn’t trace whoever was hijacking his deals.
