As a high–achieving doctor, Carson was highly regarded at the hospital. He could have found a better woman, yet he insisted on pursuing Clayton’s ex- wife. Clayton believed he could accept Carson dating a wealthy heiress, but not Audrey.
Carson touched the burned corner of his mouth and suddenly laughed. “Clayton, after this punch, our friendship is over. I’ll send Luna back to you. Whatever mess you make of your life from now on’is none of my business.”

Carson’s long–suppressed anger finally erupted. He slowly turned around and punched Clayton in the stomach. As a medical student, he knew exactly how to avoid vital organs while inflicting intense pain.
Clayton stumbled and hit the wall. After a moment, he began to fight back.
When the elevator reached the first floor, Paul and Serena walked out and saw two men brawling in the adjacent corridor. They stared, finding the scene absurd–Clayton and the doctor who had a crush on Audrey were fighting like teenagers, despite being friends.
Paul turned to leave, and Serena hurried to follow. Once they were farther away, she asked, “YouTied to me. You’re in love with Audrey, aren’t you? Why else would you buy her house?”
“She makes money for Stride Commerce–what’s wrong with me helping her solve problems?” Paul said.
“Is that all?” Serena eyed Paul suspiciously, watching for any subtle expression. “Are you sure you’re not lying?”
Tired of wasting time, Paul got into the car and told the driver, “Go to Cascadia Heights.”
After Clayton was too beaten to fight back, Carson straightened his clothes and pressed the elevator button.
Shortly after, the real estate agent walked out of the elevator. They were so close that both were startled.
Carson saw the agent’s name tag and quickly stopped him. “Are you the real estate agent? want to see Ms. Henderson’s house.”
“Who?” The agent looked confused, then suddenly realized when he saw Clayton staggering over. “You mean his ex–wife’s house? It’s already sold.”
“Sold?” Carson and Clayton asked in unison. “To whom?”

In a clinic, a doctor in his sixties stared at Audrey’s face for a moment before dropping a bombshell. “You’d better moderate your sexual activity with you partner, or you’ll have trouble getting pregnant.”
Audrey’s face instantly turned crimson at Dr. Steven Lewis‘ words. She shot a fierce glare at Yann, but he acted as if the comment had nothing to do wish

Even Calvin felt awkward and quickly changed the subject. “Mr. Lewis, I mentioned the shoulder strain earlier–Ms. Henderson is here for that!
Steven nodded, pretended to stroke a nonexistent beard, glanced at Yann, and quickly returned to a serious tone.
“I’ve prepared the medicine. Heat this pack for ten minutes and apply it to the painful area. Reheat it after it cools, and repeat three times. Use it once every three days the pain should ease in half a month,” said Steven.
Steven’s assistant brought out a cloth–wrapped medicinal pack. Calvin helped pack it in a plastic bag.
“I’ll give you a free tonic as a bonus,” Steven said, scribbling illegibly on a prescription. Audrey couldn’t make out a single word.
The assistant took Audrey to pay, and she knew this doctor was renowned–legend had it that Steven’s ancestor had treated a president, so the fees must
be steep.
But the bill still exceeded her expectations. “Ten thousand dollars for one medicinal pack?” she exclaimed.
The assistant, who was preparing the medicine according to Steven’s prescription, paused briefly before continuing. Audrey was annoyed–she’d definitely make Baldwin pay for this.
The assistant wrapped twenty portions of medicine one by one and said, “Take one packet every night before bed.”

While Audrey and Yann waited in an adjacent room for the medicine, Yann’s phone kept ringing–apparently, the project leader had doubts about a third- party vendor.
Audrey lay on a bed, scrolling through her phone to kill time.
When the assistant delivered the medicine, the clinic door was open, and another patient entered to see Steven. The person wore a hat, mask, and large sunglasses, accompanied by a young girl who acted humbly, like an assistant.
Audrey noticed the mysterious person walking stiffly, but before she could think more, the lounge door closed.
“The red bag is Ms. Henderson’s medicine, and the blue bag is Mr. Winifred’s,” the assistant told Calvin, handing over both packets.
In the car, Audrey took out the two bags and sniffed them–they smelled different. The blue bag smelled more bitter. She couldn’t help asking, “What’s this for?”
