I have been carrying around the ring since I bought it. I didn’t want to leave it at the house because I didn’t want to run the risk of Silvy finding it. And leaving in my room at the club was a no–go. Even though my room was locked I didn’t trust a skank to break in. It has happened before. Not to 

me but still I don’t trust them. I look over my shoulder to make sure Silvy is still inside. Axel happenes to be standing by the back door and says to me “You’re clear, man.” I nod as I reach into my pocket. “Tony, it isn’t like I wasn’t going to tell you about it.” Tony raises his hand for me to stop. “I know. I figured you would come to me when you were ready. I know enough from Silvy and 

the few times I have met you to know you aren’t like that.” he said. 

I handed Tony the ring to look at. A few of my brothers came to have a look too. ” Think she will like it?” I asked Tony. “Yea, Daddy. Did we do good?” Xavier asked. Damn, when did he get here? That kid is sneaky as hell. When he was staying with us I threatened Silvy that I was going to put a bell 

on him because he scared the shit out of me twice and walked in on me having Silvy pinned against 

the counter. We were just making out thankfully so he didn’t see much but it was cutting it close. 

Silvy laughed and told me to get used to it because our baby will be doing the same thing. The way 

she said it made me smile because it means she sees me in her future.

Tony looks at me but answers Xavier, ” Yea, you guys did a good job. She is going to love it.” What are the odds of getting your permission to ask her?” I asked him. “I would say they are good. I trust 

my princess so if she says yes, I will say welcome to the family.” Tony said. I hold my hand out to him and we shake. “So how are you going to ask her?” Tank asked me as he walked over with Lita on 

his hip. Poor kid must have played hard because she looks like she is about to fall asleep on Tank’s shoulder. “I have no clue,” I said being a hundred percent honest. I look at all my brothers that have gathered. I motion to them “You guys have set the bar pretty high in that department.” 

Rowdy laughs” Anything you do will be better than the way Axel and I proposed.” Axel elbows Rowdy “Hey, man. Don’t knock it. We got the girl.” “You sure did,” Merigold said sliding between Axel and Rowdy. Axel kisses the top of Merigold’s head followed by Rowdy. “I came out to tell you it 

is time for gifts and Silvy wants you to be part of it. But Goof I will offer you a tip. However you ask 

just make it from the heart. It doesn’t have to be some big top thing. Silvy doesn’t need that.” 

Merigold said. I stand up to go inside but not before thanking Merigold. She is right, Silvy wouldn’t 

want a big deal. I will have to put some thought into the way I want to ask her. 

I walked in and saw Silvy still sitting in the expectant mom’s chair. At every baby shower, the mom- to–be gets a chair just for her and she gets waited on. Silvy saw me and beamed “Honey, come on. I want you to help me see what little bit got.” Honey? That is new but I’ll be damn if I’m going to call Silvy out on it. If she wanted to call me honey she could all she wanted. I all but ran to her side. I helped her open everything from bottles, diapers, bibs, clothes ranging from newborn to three months old, a case of baby wipes, blankets, a diaper bag and a stroller. The stroller was from Tony

and Gena even if Xavier took all the credit. Silvy had a great time but was exhausted by the time all was said and done. She fell asleep in the car on the way home my poor babe. I didn’t even bother to wake her I just carried her up to bed so she could have a nap.
