I was being selfish and I 

snapped at Silvy just because I was tired. I didn’t consider her feelings. I will go over there right now and talk to her.” I said and stood up. 

“Don’t bother. When Gena and I went over to help my exhausted daughter, Silvy told me everything. While she was finally sleeping I packed your shit and changed the locks. Stay the hell away from my daughter and grandson. You are no longer welcome in her house.” Tony stated. “What? No, I need to fix this. I can’t lose my son and Silvy.” I argued. “You should have thought about that before walking out on your family at the first sign of hardship. Proving one of Silvy’s fears true.” Tony yelled then walked out. Damn, Silvy was afraid I would do something to screw our 

relationship up. 

I get smacked again pulling me out of my thoughts. I turn to Lilly again. I get I hurt her friend but damn that hurts. “Are you going to just sit there and give up? Or are you going to get up of your ass go over to Silvy and beg her to forgive you. Grovel, stay all night on the porch if you have to. Do not leave. Sow how sorry you are for being a complete moron. Then grovel some more. And when Silvy forgives you, claim her so she will never doubt you again.” Lilly yelled. Lilly is right on the money. I can’t sit around here moping that I fucked up. I have to get my family back before it is too late. 

I jump up and run to the door when Lilly yells my name. I stop and turn. Giving her my full attention. She has an evil smirk on her face. This isn’t going to be good. “I want you to remember something Goof. Silvy doesn’t need you anymore. You did your job according to the deal you made. She chose to be with you. If you aren’t the man for the job stay away. There is a list as long as my arm of real men that would happily take your place. You need her, not the other way around.” Fuck, I need to go,

I woke up to the sound of loud whispering. I had fallen asleep on the couch after Gena had taken a sleeping Ant from me. The medicine Dr. Farris gave him along with the pain medicine is working wonders for Ant and he finally fell asleep while I was rocking him. When Gena and my Dad came over I was still rocking him too scared to put him down for fear of him waking up. I was fighting my sleep my eyes kept trying to shut when Gena took Ant with the promise to watch him. I reluctantly gave Ant over to Gena under the condition that I would only rest for thirty minutes. Gena gave me a

sarcastic sure and I laid down on the couch. I wasn’t down all the way before my eyes closed. That is the last thing I remember. 

I keep my eyes closed but listen to the talking to try and figure out if it is worth waking up for or if I am even needed. I don’t hear Ant so I am going to assume he is still sleeping. I hear Gena ” You aren’t supposed to be here. I thought Tony told you to never come back.” “Look I know I fucked up but I just need to talk to Silvy,” Goof said. Great what is he doing here?” The only reason I let you in is so you would stop banging on the door. I don’t need you waking Ant and Silvy. But there is no way in hell am I going to let you talk to her. You left and hurt her.” Gena said. 

“I’m sorry about banging on the door. You wouldn’t open it. I know I left. It was a horrible move that I regret. I need to apologize and make up for it. I need my family.” Goof said. He sounds sincere. Almost like he is pleading. “I don’t know Goof. You hurt Silvy with your words and actions. Tony wanted to kill you for hurting Silvy. Silvy and I managed to talk him down. But you being back here is a bad idea.” Gena said. “I will deal with Tony. But first I need to talk to Silvy. I am prepared to beg. And I need to see my son.” Goof said. 

I’m telling you Goof it is a bad idea,” Gena told him. “Gena, please. I need my family back.” Goof pleaded. I have had enough. I’m not going to be able to go back to sleep and I didn’t want him to wake up Ant. I open my eyes and sit up. I grab my phone and look at the time. Damn, I slept for two hours and Ant is still asleep. Not bad. I feel lucky. I look up and see Gena and Goof arguing by the front door.” Gena, just let him in. I’ll talk to him.” I said.
