“Thank you,” I mutter to the lady who just dished out my food as I grab the tray and wait at a corner. She dishes Sapphire’s food too and Sapphire walks towards me.
“You don’t look so good today. I wanted to ask you but we had classes back to back and we sit really far from each other.”
I give her a small smile, “I’m fine.”
I’ve learnt to hold it in. Besides, mom warned me this morning not to show it. Not to show….that my dad-
Someone bumps into me from the front and my tray leaves my hand, going upwards. My chest tightens as all eyes follow the tray up.
Calculating the angle in a split second, it is obvious where the tray is going to land.
On my head.
I step backwards instantly and the tray makes a loud ringing as it hits the ground, splashing the content on my white socks and black loafers.
“Oops,” the voice said and I look up to see the person. One of Lucan’s clique.
Everyone stares at us. I feel extremely transparent right now from their glares, not to mention that I’m not in a good mood.
“You-”
“I’m Thalion,” he cuts me off as he stretches his hand and I swallow hardly as I stare at him.
“Any reasonable person would apologize first.” I say, almost biting myself from how hard my teeth grits.
“Apologize?” He raises a brow as he claps his hands together, dusting it. “Why would I apologize for something I did on purpose?”
My eyes narrow, “You bumped into ne on purpose?”
He chuckles, “Ah! I see.”
He looks around, “There have been classes these morning, right? So y’all have been busy, ain’t that right?!” he
screams at them.
“Yes!” Some of them replies loudly while the others just nods.
Then he smiles, “But y’all saw it last night on the group chat. Deborah Ashwyn, allowed.” His eyes fixes on mine now as I try to calm my breath down.

Everyone stops eating to ridiculously stare at me as I stare in the middle of the cafeteria, my head cloudy.
Not today.
Please, not just…today.
I can’t…I can’t take it.
“Whether she’s your senior or not, whether you are male or female, you now have the right…..to bully Ashywn.” He announces and walks past me carefully.
It is like an announcement.
The real bosses stays at the top. Makes the others and watch as the crowd follows. That’s why they always say don’t mess with the bosses, they were dangerous. But Deborah Ashwyn doesn’t listen.
The bosses are Lucan and his friends, the crowd were Amber and the rest of the school.
They all stand up and walk towards me while I take a step backwards. I know I’m surrounded and there’s no where to escape.
A tray hits the ground–again–distracting everyone, then someone grabs my hand and pulls me out the crowd, making for the door.
I look and it’s Sapphire.
She reaches out for the handle as we get closer to it, but someone steps into our front, blocking us.
“Where do you think you are going without cleaning that up?”

I walk out of the teacher’s office and make my way towards the classroom, when I see Thalion walking towards the stairs, with a smile on his lips.
“Thalion, is the cafeteria open already?” I ask as I walk towards him.
He smirks, “It is. And it’s hot. I just opened up the bomb in there.”
I shake my head, “What did you
do?”
“You made the right choice placing Ashywn on the allowed list.” He says.
I stare at him.
And then it sinks in.
“Deborah?”

“Shit,” the word slips out of my lips as I turn towards the cafeteria, running as fast as I can. Thalion comes
after me.
I push the cafeteria door open and my heart stops.
Deborah stares at me.
Teary eyes.
Disheveled hair.
Vegetables, jam, soup–I can’t name them all, whatever they are- all over her body.
Two girls hold her arms apart.
“Here,” Amber mutters as she grabs milk and walks towards Deborah, whispering something in her ear.
Deborah’s eyes widened as they shift to Amber and then Amber empties the cup on Deborah’s head.
My body moves before my head could process it.
“What the h*ll do you think you are doing?!”
My voice comes out louder than expected as I pull Deborah from the girls hold and move her behind me.
“Lucan…” Thalion walks towards me.
My wolf, Kaelon, growls. “Stay away.”
“You were the one who put her on the list-”
“And I have the right to remove her name.” I cut Amber short, “Now.”
My fingers gets cold as I wrap them around Deborah’s, “Deborah Ahswyn is off the list.”
I pull her out with me as I walk away, feeling stares pinch us from behind. Amber screams out something, but I don’t hear as we walk out of the cafeteria.
“Leave me alone,” Deborah’s voice is dry as I pull her with me towards the stairs.
I don’t listen.
“Leave me alone!!” She screams, pulling her hand away from mine swiftly. I turn to stare at her and she has a crazed look in her eyes.
“What?” She asks with a light scoff, “Feeling guilty now? After messing with me?”
My breath hitches.
